What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Just returning to the 6's at 6.9 today. Been pretty ropey all weekend, sore throat and heavy cold. Not eaten much either except sore throat lozenges of which I suspect are high sugar contributing to above average readings. Looking like things returning slowly back to normal thank goodness as despite only being a cold it tends to sap any enthusiasm.

sucess bloods got done also got flu jag out the way due to someone being a no show :)

will see what results show. flu jag wasnt bad. bloods were pretty difficult. just over hour out of the way for another 3+ months hopefully now full sets done rather than maybe needing to pop back later. 6mg diazapan emla cream. braved the flu jag first without emla :0 glad i asked if could get out of way at the same time delighted they were able to oblidge. sugars starting to come down a little now been lot higher than have been after breakfast for a while, guessing stress. fingers crossed for hba1c and lipid profile. hoping they are down a little more to off put statins which gp wished me to take.

apparently to ensure drink a fair bit more than usual for couple of days due to getting the flu jag?

glad your starting to go on the mend @ChrisT2 :)

Yikes, 6.6 today. The carb creep is real…and it’s stopping today, back to carnivore for a bit.
There was a question, what was my favourite part in Japan. Ohhhh….thats tough. I was fascinated with the very busy downtown areas…the Shibuya crossed was incredible! All the billboards, the 3-d ones especially, were pretty awesome. I cried in Hiroshima, I marvelled at the beauty of the rural mountains and their beautiful small towns. There were a ton of tourists and I especially disliked Nara (with all the deer, very depressing), and the bamboo forest (so incredibly crowded and too many tourists traps).
All in all a great trip.

Back in the zone at 6.4 but staggered by daytime readings yesterday, highest of which was 11.9 on Libre. Can only put it down to throat sweets and possibly my cold as diet was actually better than usual as didn't feel as hungry as normal. Looking forward to numbers settling back down but have a shingles jab tomorrow and friends who have had same reckon it makes them feel rough for a few days afterwards, here we go again.

some sugar free throat sweets can may actually have more carbs than NON sugar free variants i presume, shop which advertised sugar free diabetic friendly sweets section... i looked at the carb content and was pretty shocked in some cases were higher than their sugar version... maybe something simular? i guess sugar is measured differently and no format standardised format yet... all carbs break down into glucose. ps get well soon :)

It’s looking good isn’t it ? What are your thoughts?

Five point nine at waking with a freaky four point one dip in the night. I don’t know if I squished the sensor? Is there a way of telling ?

On being up dressed and active I’m seven point one .

Any hints or tips on interpreting night time lows welcome
