What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Finally a good result at 4.8 mmol. It's been extremely hot and humid here and for the last 2 weeks haven't got a fasting result under 5.5 mmol :-( As soon as the cooler weather kicks in my BS improves , looking forward to winter already.

2hrs after scrabbled egg on toast (1 slice) and Bacon - 9.4 :arghh:

Isn't 5.7 the value they use on all BS meter adverts? (suppose to be a magical number or something)

EDIT: having just done a google, 5.8 seems to be THE number!
 
Hi I was newly diagnosed 3 weeks ago. still trying to get to grips with everything, what I can and can not eat. Mine was 11.7 this morning and that's the lowest yet. My rwading when first diagnosed was 22.9. I'm still in a bit of shock over it and it helps reading everything on here.

Hello welcome,you will get lots of help and advice on here. It s scary first diagnosis and a huge change to life style,but you'll get there. I've got lots of support from the people on here..
 
My reading this morning was 6.8, may not be low to many of you but I was OVER THE MOON as its the lowest yet, always high in the morning and lowers during the day. Am never hungry in the daytime as busy at work but oh my god I need a **** good slap in the evenings ! Nothing last night though after 7 so I just need to leave it for when I'm dreaming ;)

I went to bed at 9.5.. 5 hours after I had dinner ... Took my normal 7 slow at night

But woke at 6.9.... I don't get it
I did not do a correction dose of fast last night

Not complaint - but really bloody confused
