Here you go Robin and Nosher. Wigan Casino 1974, Gloria Jones / Tainted Love.

This is the question I couldn't answer on university challenge, I prefer Soft Cell, Marc Almond's version much better.

There's a ghost in my house R. Dean Taylor...........................

As I found this post, Let's Go Somewhere' by R Dean Taylor came on my music! Now playing 'take good care of yourself' Three degrees.

I had oxfords or parallels like that! Mine were only 28 inch.

LOL for this @adrian207
Used to wear gear like this being very blonde .
Those were the days for me - fabulous days/nights ! :joyful::D

Often wore my black suede over the knee flat boots
as they were great for bopping away at the all nighter's .
Mum used to moan away at me - taking them to be re-heeled every time I wore them out .

They looked great with my two piece mini shorts/skirt suits always wore these .
Plus kept me cool too when dancing away too. :)
Mum made me wear a coat over them - spoil sport !
Which I always removed when got around the corner of our home .
Us young-un's never felt the cold them days .
Hid it stuffed inside our neighbours bushes and collected it pre-return home .;)
Mum was none the wiser either for it .

I had to choose. I had both. But, it was a long long time ago.

I still remember My Ol' Man's a Dustman
Oh yes, Lonnie Donnegan. Saw him at a Cropredy festival about a year before he died and he did the headline spot on a Friday. Did an hour & half and I think he was about 80 but the one song he didn't do was My Old Man (my dustbins full of mushrooms, how do you know its full, there's not mushroom inside and oi where's me tigers tail, fout foot from it's 'ead) :hilarious:

I had a two tone coat, and we used to go to the haberdasheries on a Saturday morning to get the smallest piece of brightly coloured satin for the top pocket, I didn't wear braces though, ermm my dad had those lol Ben Sherman shirts, so smart, with the little loop at the back of shirt, just underneath the collar, if I remember correctly, oh happy carefree days.

I still wear Ben Shermans and I have two Harrington jackets, blue & black with the tartan lining. Get some great looks when walking around town!

How could I forget the Chi-Lites. Their catalogue of music is outstanding and still going!!

That reminded me :hilarious::hilarious: Me and my mate wanted the satin hankies in the top pocket but couldn't afford them so we ripped a piece of lining from the inside of my Crombi sleeve, cut it into 2 pieces and stuck the pieces to a house shaped piece of card, same size as our pockets. Once the glue had set slipped them into our pockets and looked like the dogs bo**ocks. Oh happy days.:D:D
