Every evening the level of diabetes drops to 94mg/dl

Why does my blood sugar level start to rise even without eating? To 104/120mg/dl.
In the morning

I don't know what happens to me that was known as the dawn phenomenon. Or is it a liver discharge
I not use any drugs now

I blame it on the liver, liver does produce glocuse and it will raise our bs level.

Dawn Phenomena, also known as Liver Dump can happen at any time of the day whether it is in the morning after fasting through sleep or later in the day after a period of not eating. Glucose will be released to meet the required needs of the body.

How are you feeling since you have given up your Metformin?

Hi @Guzzler

I feel a lot better my BG between 94/120mg/dl I have analysis Hba1c next Friday

Thanks for your reply
That's what I think, but when does it stop ?
That is a hard questions but normaly it will stop after we have something to eat( a bit of carbs). I notice the liver will produce glocuse if we gone too long without food for example when we wake up.I think i read that for type 2 you may need to take some food ( 15 gram carbs max) before bed to avoid this.

Thanks in my opinion the liver discharge may stop when it becomes Hba1c 5.4% I not sure

For this I must leave it full-time and become normal
This is better than stopping it with carbohydrates

Well everybody body is different so as long it keep your bs in range and lower your Hba1c i recommend just keep doing what works for you. Each of us is different and that what make managing diabetes a fun adventure:). That why i diagree will all those gp that treat us like robot and never see that each of us is different.

Hi @hichamgsm,

In my opinion, you are doing extremely well considering your HbA1c was 12.8% only 3 months ago and you are not on any medication.

For me, it took about six months for my fasting levels to drop below 100 mg/dl.

Good luck on your tests next week. When you go to see your GP to talk about your results, it might be a good idea to also bring a record of your readings to the meeting.

For some people excercise can raise bg levels or lower them. Experimentation may give you an answer there.

Hi @ziggy_w
Thank you very mutch
Already I was lucky and I bet on the result Hba1c between 5.8% to 6.2%

This is what happens to me at the exercise

Some people change the times that they do their excercises or they might change the type of excercise they do, choosing resistive excercise instead of aerobic excercise. This is something that you could experiment with.

Dawn Phenomenon is usually when your blood glucose has dropped enough over night for you body to think that you are low on glucose and so release some that is stored in the liver.
[However it can happen at any time that your BG goes low, usually when you haven't eaten for a while.]

If you eat something, then your body usually stops calling on the reserves and goes back to normal digestion. This is why eating something first thing in the morning can actually make your BG drop.

If you don't eat, then your body releases more glucose. If you still don't eat your body starts scrabbling around for more sources of glucose. The next is usually protein (that is, your muscles) which is why if you don't eat because your BG is going up then your BG can keep going up as your body raids more stores. Again, if you eat something your BG should stabilise and start to go down.

This is counter intuitive; "BG going up, must eat something" doesn't seem right, somehow.

In fact, I started implementing a plan

I do some sports at lunch
I don't eat carbohydrates at breakfast and dinner.

Everybody ( diabetic and non diabetic) has a blood sugar jump in the early hours of the morning as the body gears up for the day by releasing growth hormone, cortisol, glucose etc.
In people without diabetes the body releases enough ‘ counter regulatory’ hormones, including insulin to mop up the excess - that system doesnt work so well for us
