I pop in several times a day to see new postings. Now the current page that opens is so full of other things that the only way that I could find a way to post this comment was to open one of my previous messages. I understand that advertisement revenue is important to you but when it goes to this extent, it makes the whole Diabetes.co.uk too frustrating to use.

You should only see the advertising if you're accidentally logged out, should be back to normal if you log back in.

I keep logged in and it always takes me straight to the forum, no adverts etc. like @Antje77 says you should only be getting the adverts if you are logging in and out between visits.

I had stayed logged in all the time. I shall now log out and try to log back in.

Must be infuriating, I've had no problems on either my laptop or mobile phone. Normally logging in/out issues are usually down to your device accepting or rather not accepting cookies. Sorry wish I could help further.

Spicy food which is too hot. Nasty people who have no idea on your life journey but feel the need to comment and be cruel.
Mine was fine until this morning! Took a bit of doing logging in.

I logged out and logged back in. Whereas in the past I always got to the forum questions page straight away, now following happens: first 'Join the Diabetes Community' page (with the advertisements) opens; I need to press Q, and lastly press 'Diabetes Form'. Why? Is it me? Or the changed system? Also, only used to press 'Home' to get back see other questions, once I had finished reading the one that I opened first, but now it takes me to the page with advertisements.

Yeah it’s much worse than before, we do get used to it but much worse, I’m sure there was good reason but it’s a shame.

I might ask for my money back… oh wait

I agree that the new interface is not user friendly.
The landing page should have a login button at the top banner for people who have already joined
the forum.

@ANTJE - I use a Browser. They changed the landing page.
Have you restarted your browser and cleared the cache?

If by landing page you mean from your search engine like goggle I always search “diabetes.co.uk forum” and as I stay logged in it brings me right to the forum.

I'm conscious that there are a few unspoken questions in this thread.

Changes to the website and the forum are always a bit of a surprise - moderators have absolutely nothing to do with how the website or the forum technical sides run. Our job is mainly (entirely?) about content posted on the forum. We're in the same position as the rest of the membership on most everything else.

There does seem to be a problem on the home page, though I don't see any adverts. The problem on the 'home page', the link 'Join the Community' isn't working. Not for me anyway.

I know admin's are not responsible for the home page, but can you please forward.
Now the home page looks like this on my browser.
It basically "screams" at you to "Join the community",
and doesn't indicate (at the top right) that if you have registered to the forum, you have already joined.
In this case clicking on the red button (if you are logged in) does nothing - as it should should, you've already joined.
by clicking on "Forum" on top right you get to the forum pages as usual,
where your user name appears on the top right if you are logged in.
I can see why this is confusing people.

Well you have more buttons than me @Lupf - if I go to the home page I have to scroll down to join your community, pick one of the forums and then click on forums at the top left to get to the forum “homepage” proof that us mods are no wiser or different to any other member on the forum ;)

Interesting! My red strip does not show News, Shop or Forum between 'Tools' and 'Follow'.
