Winter Keepy Uppies Type 2.

I'm starting to look like a paintbrush. Three rooms, hall & porch walls done, skirting boards in progress, about to start on ceilings of all 8 rooms now the plaster is drying out. Plus daily shopping for food and a lot of walking about. Actually I'm really pleased to have all this useful exercise. Sleeping well!
That sort of exercise lets you see benefits @DeejayR . Always good way to avoid winter blues.

Ah we may be a small group, but we encourage each other, @mo53.
Glad to see you have got back in the water.

I had the meeting from hell at lunchtime so decided to go for a walk after it ( during my late lunchtime) . It was freezing but did 3 miles and a miracle happened and I didn't get wet lolImageUploadedByDCUK Forum1452206261.437457.jpgImageUploadedByDCUK Forum1452206278.420118.jpgImageUploadedByDCUK Forum1452206296.717280.jpg

Snowing today so can't go for a walk and can't get in the garage to go on numb bum

Had to resort to walking around Silverburn Shopping centres in Glasgow, far to cold and slippy to do anything else a today .

Similar here down south in torrential rain, looking at sofas, mobile phones and wall lights. Tomorrow the ceiling painting starts in earnest -- 7 ceilings (one not plastered yet, awaiting loft entrance and ladder), hopefully only 2 coats each. And skirting boards.

A bit housebound, due to weather, so activity is cleaning windows, and mopping floors. Quick walk between rain showers. Puddle jumping.

It is dry. The sun is shining. I have had a few short walks. I walked quickly, because it is freezing out.

Today I have managed 2265 steps more than the target determined by the fitness tracker. BUT... Still the dratted thing has the nagging red line because I have been sitting with my feet up for an hour.

And I have realised, the more steps I complete the more the thing increases target. A bit like when I was at work. Never good enough.

2 days of blue skies , it's heaven .
I've spent a lot of time on my feet at work and been for a few walks .

Agree about blue sky. It can be as cold as it likes, just don't let us have to endure the grey and constant rain.
So far today I have clocked up 3608 steps, 2.37 km. just off to do Pilates exercises.

I'm still here, with the usual daily routine. Walk to and from the shops, then cleaning woodwork and painting in the bungalow before the new carpets go in. And vacuuming and fitting new wall lights. Then home to cook tea and check out my friends on the forum. Had a tooth out today so no hot food or drink allowed! I shall miss my mug cake in the bath.

Mug cake in the bath sounds very decadent. But well desrved treat.
Is the bungalow almost ready to live in, @DeejayR ?

Activity today. Trying not to lose balance in the ice and snow. That was after a dash round shops before it snowed. Have enough provisions for at least a week. Let it snow!

Went for a walk in snowy woods , or rather local park.
Cold but nice . We are managing to keep it up .
Spring is just around the corner

This morning helped Ron the local butcher move his wife's raised veggie bed, so busy shifting earth and old railway sleepers and chopping forlornly at a tree stump that disobligingly stands in the middle of the bed. The tree stump won and will stay with a flowerpot on its head. I get some free meat during the week in exchange.
Then to watch Mrs Deejay painting doors furiously (8 done, both sides; two to go and a whole wall of cupboard doors before the carpets go down). I just put up a couple of wall lights and re-hung a vertical-blind track with much huffing and puffing.
Finally, home to make the tea -- a gorgeous leg of lamb from Ron! I left it roasting on low for 4 hours.
Spring is just around the corner

There's a happy thought.
