So today I am off to have blood taken for my hba1c test and my diabetic eye screening. I knew that it was going to be on 30th, trouble is I thought the 30th was tomorrow. My sister has even booked tomorrow off to take me, it's a good job I have fabulous neighbours who are going to drive me.

I will post my results when I get them next week. I have an appointment with the nurse on Tuesday. I am quite excited to see how I am doing. Thanks for all the support and advice and, fingers crossed, they will let me continue without medication.

Oops sorry I meant to post after two hours didn't I. I was 8.6 two hours and twenty minutes after eating. The meter wasn't stuck and the best thing was that the creamy leeks didn't spike me like they did the last time I tested (I went up from 7.something to 11.1. Things are definitely improving. X
