I am so glad I recorded this. Not Hubby's kind of thing.
Thank goodness for something decent to watch, and look forward to. Besides Broadchurch.

I enjoyed it, Trust me to get confused with Thomas Cromwell and Oliver Cromwell.( the penny soon dropped):)

We watched the last episode of Broadchurch last night, tbh we are not enjoying it and its not as good as the first series, they should have left that storyline behind and moved on, what do you think?

What is it kat ??
A really good series, from the book by Hilary Mantal , she has written two , second one called bring up the bodies ....she is now writting a third ...
About Henry 8th and wives and Thomas Cromwell and Lord wolselys etc , history , but in a way which is easy to understand I thought ....
With a very good story line which includes the family lives of others as well ...

Happy viewing ...@Robinredbreast

Sorry there was a Thomas in it , but it was Oliver Cromwell ....

Never watched Silent Witness but have heard good things about the series. We will stick with Broadchurch for now and see if it gets any better, mind David Tennant and Olivia Coleman are as brilliant as ever taking the leading roles.

My tv planner is already full Kat, recorded Call the Midwife last weekend so looking forward to watching that tonight :)

I had fancied reading Wolf Hall before but never got round to it so tried to watch the programme last night but turned it off after 10 minutes as I couldn't get in to it. Maybe give it another try later in the week.

I completely agree @noblehead , it's a big disappointment and I have given up on it.
The first series was amazing, but by trying to continue that storyline and incorporate a new one they have just made it too confusing. Shame :grumpy:

I like Silent Witness as well, but not too sure that forensic pathologist would be running around with the police helping solve the crime, but then if they didn't do that there wouldn't be a story :)

You do need to concentrate quite hard, especially with the time line changing back and forth.

Its still worth watching mind, just not as good as the first series.

Call the Midwife was brilliant as ever, the young boy who was looking after his sisters and baby was a double for the actor who played Billy Casper in the film Kes

It is is good to hear we are all enjoying the tv programmes .....:bag:
Saw call the midwife tonight and last tango .....

Loved them both .....
