Working in a bar with long shifts ?

I currently work behind a bar for part time while I’m at uni, any advice on how to manage it ?

How long is a "long shift"? Can you take a 5 minute break to go to the toilet or equivalent ?

As long as you get regular opportunities to test so say set your alarm for every 2/3 hours and can stop and check as well as keeping a glucose source on you at all times then you should be ok, however if it’s incredibly busy do you have someone to back you up if you need to stop and treat a hypo ? And is everyone around you fully aware of your condition ?
