It's the smell of fresh baked pastry! I need to stop and watch the footsie!Better than any Greggs I bet, although they do a nice sausage roll, sometimes get one on a weekend if I'm out for a long walk with my dog and pass the door
Well I got cocky and had two roast spuds with my meal tonight. They were only very small ones too but after 2 hours 7.8. That's my biggest 2 hr reading since I began testing weeks ago.
Worth it though, and still just about "legal".
It's not something I will be doing again in a hurry though lol. I had two small potatoes last week and they were boiled. I was 6.5 after those!!
Haven't tried goose or duck fat. These were coated in extra virgin olive oil. I had them cooked like that on purpose and I was only 4.9 pre meal. I think there's something wrong with my meter. I just took it again 2 and 3/4 hours post meal. It's 7.0 in one finger and 6.0 in another finger!
Were the boiled and roast pots identical weights? If not then this might explain the difference in postprandial bg readings.

I didn't weigh them today or last week. They were small though...I'm talking an inch and half in length and about that in width. I picked the smallest ones in the bag...Jersey Royals. I did have gravy - non thickened. I had green beans and broccoli and two slices turkey breast.
