Woke up this morning to the funniest feelings ever, thought I was back in the swinging 60’s

Usually I am in bed between 2300/2330 each night, but last night my daughter decide to whack her nose on the toilet doorframe, hearing a crack as she did, so had to take her to A&E, but she came home before being seen as she did not want to sit there for up to 5 hrs as the notice board was indicating.

So it was around 0120 before I finally got to bed and to sleep.

Anyway was rudely awoken this morning about 0715 by the dog and cat wanting out and their breakfasts, as I got up the room began to slowly spin, faster and faster, it was like the boat in willy wonkas chocolate factory  then I started to get ringing in my ears which got louder and louder.
I stumbled trying to sit back down and landed with a rather loud thud on the floor sweat beating down from my brow blurring and stinging my eyes.

Then I got the cold sweat feeling, so I tried to get up but could I :?:
I had no strength at all my arms were painful and useless, my legs were like jelly.

My son and daughter came in to see what all the racket was and helped me up onto my bed, my daughter rushed to get me a lucazade sweet, but before this I managed to check my Bg, it was only 4.7 :!: so couldn't have been a hypo, well don’t think it was.

But wow what a rush.

SB.
You need to get your Blood Pressure checked out ASAP. That is exactly what happened to me some time ago when I was diagnosed with Postural Hypotension - a reduction of BP when standing up, which makes you black out some times. Not a pleasant experience and exactly as you describe.

Are you on any BP meds at all ?

Ken

Yep, I second that about postural hypotension...I get that as a side effect of Victoza. At first my GP thought it was Virtigo (I have sufferd in the past) but after a check while lying down with the nurse ( no not WITH the nurse LOL) I was found to get PH upon rising after being horizontal for 15 mins or longer.
I check my BP daily and confirmed my GP conclusion by testing myself with my wrist cuff monitor upon first rising.

have to go to the health centre today to collect prescription so will make an appointment to see Dr,
as to heart or blood pressure medication I am on
Ramipril 2.5 mg, Aspirin 75mg, Bisoprozol 5mg

Dr appointment tomorrow 1700, did a bp check again while I was there, 117/70 this time

Also went into town earlier to celerbrate losing 6 inches around the waist by buying 2 new pairs of jeans now a size 36 :D

Wow, welldone on teh size 36! I geta feeling a bot like that, but not so extreme, when my BG id=s falling rapidly...although I have never felt that dizzy. Hope teh appointment goes well!
