I am used to having low fat, low sugar yogerts , obviously not suitable any more as I am pre diabetec......What would be a nice plain yogert to add to a few blueberries? I hate Greek yogert..

I know you've just said that you hate Greek yoghurt, but I've found getting the right one can make a big difference in taste. If you say what in particular you dislike (creaminess? acidity? texture?) then people might have suggestions of ones that fit the bill.

Failing that, Yeo Valley do a nice plain yoghurt :)

Agree with @azure, not all Greek yogurts are the same.

There's a brand called Milbona which is sold in Lidl stores, it really is delicious and very good value for money too, but as already mentioned you can buy plain yogurts in most shops.

Fage (total 0%) is the standard one I have seen, but like you I wasn't a fan. It was a bit bitter and not great.

However M & S do a authentic 10 % fat greek yogurt which is much nicer. 1.2g carbs per 30g serving or 4.0g per 100g. Give it a try :)

The Greek yogerts that I have tried have tasted more like cheese. Also very sour. So I guess I am looking for something just mild and creamy. I do go to Lidl for my protein rolls so I will try that one. Thank you.....

I have the Tesco one. It's creamy not cheesy, and doesn't taste too acidic like some of them do. You can get a small pot for 50p so you could do a cheap taste trial.

The ones you've got used to, low fat, are different from what yogurt is meant to be. Good natural yogurt should have a sharpness, which a lot of people counteract with fruit. If you are in Lidl's you could try their Turkish yogurt, it is a slightly firmer set one and I find a bit sweeter than their Greek one. I go through a Greek one each week with blueberrys and nuts for my breakfast. I would recommend them as in this new world it is best to give everything a go, just in case it's the one for you.
Good luck.

I've tried Aldis Greek natural yogurt full fat this morning and it is lovely. Though after reading one of the posts above by a member saying that she goes through one each week, I'm thinking eeeek.....I've used nearly half a pot this morning and I would probably eat this every day until I found an alternative cereal type breakfast.
Should I only have a small amount then?

It all depends how big the pot is as to how long it should last!

Maybe you can find a local yoghurt I have one called Lancashire farms full fat yoghurt and I like it more than the Greek yoghurt
