Can anyone tell me the best yogurt to eat. Ill need a flavoured one I can't bear plain. I'm going to try to lower my carb intake again, I'm going to do it in very small stages!

Hi sarah69

I love yogurts and I had a Muller Greek Style light Fat Free Lemon yogurt tonight and its about 12 carbs per pot and tastes lovely. It comes in a packof four. I hope you can find something you like. RRB

hi, I was addicted to yoghurt pre diabetes so really missed them when diabetes came along. i now eat muller light fruit ones, half a pot is 50g and approx. 3.5g of sugar.

Hi Sarah,
The full fat varieties have the least amount of carbs in them. Berries such as blueberries, raspberries and blackberries dont have many carbs in them - as far as I can tell berries are the only fruit that dont affect my BGs.

You could mix the yoghurt and berries together and add a bit of granulated sweetener (if too sharp) otherwise crush them into the yoghurt. I find Greek yoghurt is the best, but I could wolf down a whole large tub of it in one go!

I either have natural Greek yoghurt & add my own sweetener & berries, or usually I buy weight watchers yoghurts - 7-8g carbs in a pot. They happen to be low fat & low calorie as well, but that's incidental to me.
