I forgot the thing that's always in my fridge.

Red and white cabbage, and onion all finely shredded on my trusty mandolin. A handful of that goes a long way.

Good choice Catherine, beans are great in a stir-fry and low-gi too! :)

nuts such as walnuts, almonds and brazil
unsweetened plain yoghurt
all green leafy veg
other veg such as onions, celery, tomato
olive oil

there are others but the question is limited to 5 otherwise I may have added fish, eggs, red wine etc

Depends on your definition of 'Superfoods' really if by superfoods you mean foods that allow me to eat a normal healthy diet rather than foods I like then my top superfoods would be:

Basmati Rice
Wholegrain Bread
Burgen Bread
New Potatoes boiled in their skins
Red Wine

:)

lamb and beef
butter
eggs
green leaves
coffee

Peppermint Tea - I like the peppermint tea benefits I gain from this with lime juice
Almonds - for good fats, alkalinity, and energy
Cucumbers - refreshing
Basmati rice - carbohydrates
Fish - fish for protein or some other seafood as a superfood because of the omega fats
