Yes very popular in the UK, I was 13 when this came out in secondary school.

I noticing a recurring theme about a lot of the lists. There is quite a few of the songs listed that are covers of early 60s songs done by the great northern soul artists!
The greatest reward is being copied by someone that is famous.
It's great to know that your songs are being recorded, it is an honour to be thought of that way.

I like Seals and I like Mony Mony, but I like the original version by Tommy James and The Shondells
It reminds me of the travelling fair and the speedway ride when I was about 12/13!
 
Love robert plant and that is a good version of the song. Also Bread as it was one of the eight track tape things my dad had at home along with America and the carpenters.
Eight track, there's a blast from the past! Mr Chris Dad had a player, but most of his cassettes were the likes of Bert Kapfert and James Last
