Colds, flu + Paleo diets

The recent spell of cold weather appears to have brought with it an increase in cold and flu symptoms.

Colds, infections and illnesses are known to cause a pronounced effect on blood sugar levels. Blood testing more often than usual is recommended through a period of illness.

If you have not received a free flu jab this winter, be aware of the symptoms that flu can present as influenza tend to have a stronger effect on blood sugars than the common cold.

What's a Paleo diet?

There has been a lot of talk about the Paleo diet on Facebook. The paleolithic (or paleo) diet is based on the food that is believed to be similar to the daily diet of cave people.
