My low carb/IF Diet - BG and progress

It's about ten mins after waking. I roll out of bed to a sitting position and test there and then after wiping with alcohol wipe x

I was just wondering if the very early start impacted on any potential dawn phenomenon you may routinely have. Of course, even I wouldn't suggest you get up every day at stupid o'clock every day.

It's really annoying that I'm up so much during the night with my leg pain as that's definitely not helping with accurate readings, but I think I do have DP issues. My GP was never convinced though...xxx
 
Hi Debmcgee, paying off so hold steady..it has been my experience that the worst of aches and pains didn't completely subside until my bs's were in the mid 5's for a month or so, clive
 
Congratulations - all that hard work of yours is paying off nicely. Pretty soon it'll become a normal way of eating for you.

Don't worry if it fluctuates day to day. My fasting readings are anywhere between 4.1 and 6.3 depending on how late I ate the night before and having something wrong - even a slight cold - can make it go up a bit.

Once again, congratulations and well done.
 
Think I'm getting a cold as I'm feeling really sluggish - sore throat and the odd sneeze so I expect my bg will get a bit fluctuated....

L: salmon, broccoli and cauli mash. Dollop cream and strawberries. Babybel.

D: homemade doner in lettuce wrap with coleslaw.

Feeling pants right now and think I've got some sort of tum bug...not in the mood for dinner so think I'll skip it and have breakfast tomorrow....

L: pork stuffing, sprouts and cauli mash. Dollop Branston, strawberries and cream.

S: babybel

D: cucumber and peanut butter.

I feel so tired!!
 
Hi Debmcgee, er what was in the pork stuffing?and was the peanut butter organic sugar free? Carbs don't give up easy.
 
The stuffing was proper meat that I got after Xmas for a bargain and v low carb. Peanut butter is the organic, no **** stuff!! X
 
Been really thirsty all day - tried to drink as much water as possible but I struggled to. Managed proper food which is good!

L: scrambled eggs and bacon. Tea.

D: homemade doner kebab in lettuce wraps and coleslaw. Water.

Going swimming tomorrow with the kids so I'll get a mini workout - hopefully my leg will approve!! I'm going to have breakfast in the morning which will be the first time for weeks!! I'm really looking forward to it! X
 
6.1 this morning. Reasonably happy with that apart from my throbbing finger after a painful prick
 
Swimming hurt a lot. Even just gliding through the water hurt. I'm going to look up some hydrotherapy moves I can do to build some strength. Girls enjoyed me being in the pool though so that was nice.

B: bacon and eggs. Coffee. Water.

L: crayfish avacado salad. Diet Coke.

D: roast chicken, broccoli, cauli mash. Water. Edit: needed a cup of tea and half Lidl protein roll toasted. Soooo good!!!

Roll on bedtime....

6.8 this morning. Have a cold and was up lots in the night....

Deb - I may have missed it, but did you have your bloods done the other day?

You seem to be getting right back into the swing of things. :)
