Type 2 Life

Thank you to all those who crossed parts of their body for me. I was hoping for an HBA1C reading under 65 (it was 97 at diagnosis 3 months ago) as that would show I was heading in the right direction and that the LCHF diet was doing something.

In fact it was 49, which I am very pleased with. :):)

I'm now off to the gym for a celebratory aerobics class..... i know how to live!
Good for you, you can finally stop panicking over those minor blips BG highs now ;)

Evening. Had a busy day in Glasgow. FBG 6.7 mmol/l. Making dinner and going to do tea time insulin injection. Brightening up now and glad of the later sunsets. :)

Well done.

My initial HbA1c was 112 mmol/mol in 2010. After 3 years of oral meds they never were below 90. After years on insulin they are at 64. I have been told due to my high insulin resistance it will take a while and not to expect instant results. Patience is the name of the game. :)

I can't remember my initial HBA1C way back in the year I was diagnosed in 2000. But due to ' family trauma' and I threw the towel in for Diabetes - My HBA1C shot up to 81 by 2014 and I began on Insulin, by Nov, 2015 it was down to 64, and in February this year down to 59 - my diabetologist would like it down to 40 by May of this year??? (She can carry on dreaming!) = :)

I hope you settle back into work routine quickly @david1968 and tomorrow is a better day for you.
Look after yourself and give the bread a miss. Make something nice to eat for lunch. Oily salad with fav protein?
What is your fav dish?

Favourite dish? Hmm ... a nice medium rare steak or a piece of gammon. Grandad was a butcher so we used to get some lovely cuts.

Today was a better day thanks, both in terms of blood sugars and stress ... and only two more days this week and then another four day weekend!

Lunch is the tricky meal for me. Don't really get time to make something myself so normally end up popping into one of the sandwich shops near the office but going to have to get into a different routine.
