Type 2 Life

Evening all, sorry that I'm not here as much as I'd like to be, work has me very busy.

It's been interesting to read about the Desmond course, I've been told I'll be doing an Ester course, it'll be interesting to see how it compares.

My good news is I had a Pre Lunch reading of 4.8. This low carb programme is doing wonders.

I certainly hope your coarse is better than what I experienced it was more tailored to pre diabetes than type 2 .
keep up the good work on those reading just wish mine would settle down again but have been pretty good today having constant 6's all day .

Hello @liam1955 I'm ok now thanks. Richard is brilliant! Yes tomorrow is absolutely the best time to have your blood test done. Sooner the better. I bet you will be after having a cheeseburger for your lunch?:)

How did you do with your no rubbish day today @liam1955 ? I made up for you I've just eaten THREE Thornton's chocolates and they were fab-u-lous! You can all tell me how daft that was now :)

@13lizanne & @mo53 - Cheeseburger and Chips is on Tuesday when I'm out with 'girl-friend' No. 2. With Richard it's Toasted T-Cake and a Latte in Waitrose Cafe because he pays! :) Oh Anna 3 Chocolates!! You need at least 6 to get the feel good factor,:D what happened to the rest of them? Did Hubby eat them?
I have Not eaten anything Sweet or Sugary at all today, so far it's been savoury foods. = I can be good you know, but it's hard!
And to @paula.nolan42 - Absolutely fantastic, Well Done Sweet Pea.:)

He's just done his bed time reading and its 6.1. Full house today. Xxx

Latte and toasted teacake will still be a treat- no? Yes hubby did eat the rest of the chocs, they were from the inside of his Easter egg but I got to eat the noisettes which are my favourite. My readings today were all about the 5 mark except 2 hrs after chocs reading was 8!!! they are back down to 5.9 now though - whew! @liam1955well done for keeping off the sweet stuff William, Well done with keeping up the swimming @mo53 and so pleased about your low bs readings @paula.nolan42 - you've worked really hard for them

Hi hope everyone has had a good day had a good reading after my evening meal was 6.6.I had a little bit of chocolate also today @13lizanne, my niece had left a small freddo bar, need less to say it accidently fell inside me ☺. Chocolate is my ultimate weakness.

According to everything that I've read it's never deviating from lchf and eventually the cravings will go away? Ah hae ma doots!!* * translation - I doubt it!!

Well, for the first time since starting lchf diet, I've put on weight. I'm 1lb heavier than I was last Friday .

I can't think that I've eaten differently in the last week, certainly I've been really good about the carbs. Possibly I have done a bit more nibbling of nuts snd cheese in the evening when i get back from the gym. I'll have to be very strict about that from now on. I've got another stone to lose before September.

Morning FBG was 7.2, it's still too high in the mornings. On the plus side, my other readings through the day to seem to be coming down although they usually start with a 6 rather than the coveted 5.

And its the last day of the working week, which is always a good thing. I hope everyone has a good day.

6.8 this morning happy it I still under my target 7.0 this week.

@TooManyCrisps I am finding with the LCHF diet that I go into the next kilo down, then cycle up And down by half a kilo for a week then go into next kilo down about 10 days later, so I will go 85, then 85.5, 85, 85,5, 85 And finally 84!

A tad frustrating but I am also finding that I can get into clothes that I was wearing at a much lower weight previously and I am losing the weight in different places than usual.
