Type 2 Life

@tina_marie - That is a well known problem with pain relief tablets, I eat 2 - 3 dried Apricots just before bed OR 3 -4 dates. But if he mentions it to his GP he may well be prescribed sachets of stuff to dissolve in glass of water and drink which are sugar free for diabetics. :)
I had the same problem when I was on them so mine got binned .

@Sable_Jan - I can take up to 150mg Tramadol a day and up to 400mg of Pregabalin = Lyrica a day. But, I am having injections every month of COSENTYX and so the dosage of the tablets are being reduced. My sleep is broken about every 20 minutes with changing position, as the pain just builds in certain joints. :)

Mine are the heavy ankle boots. Pale blue (dirty pale blue) with white padded collar. Not Timberland, possibly No Fear (tho just as likely not) but you get the idea. Nothing like the tight fitting smooth leather slight platform knee boots I once had (nor the figure that went with them....
Yes, I suppose that things today............

are not what they once were...............

You have my greatest empathy. Tramadol did nothing but make me itch....
I'm on 2x 75g Lyrica daily and 50mg amitriptyline at night. Plus my water tablet and BP pill.....
Have you tried a memory foam mattress topper? Mine's 4" and does take a lot of the pressure off

Tramadol makes me itch, too, but you're right about the memory foam. I have an 8" topper on my mattress and - oh my god - I do so love my bed!!! I did once try a memory foam mattress, although not one of the really expensive ones, but had to get rid of it. It was so soft that I just sank into it, and had to spend half an hour struggling on my back with my arms & legs flailing around like an overturned beetle, simply to get off it.
Not quite the elegant image I like to portray! :joyful: :joyful::joyful:

Hi Maureen! Maybe you read an old post of mine? I feel fine...
In fact, I'm more than up for putting the boots on and going for a booze up! We'd be a pair of real cheap dates, as I haven't had a drink at all this year either, lol :joyful:
oh dear I do feel a t**t ! Must get glasses for close/reading, don't need for distance anymore, must have clicked on old post! Ok 2 cheap dates, first g&t on me, tried to get William to come but he's probably worried incase I go searching for a leprechaun after a couple of drinks!!! Get your boots on I'm booking the taxi, put your boots & skinnies on!!! Ha ha. You coming Liam? Anyone else ?

@Sable_Jan - Got mattress topper and a sheepswool on the bed, because I find it cold. But, I am more comfortable sat on the sofa like now with 4 cushions padded around me:)

Oh but you did make me laugh

That sounds just what I need to ward off early "I don't want to go back to work on Monday"-itis!

ha! ... the very reason I don't work often on a Monday - I have always disliked working them

Skinnies???? I don't have anything skinny these days - my hair's the only thing that's thinning!

Yes, but after a couple of vodkas I'd likely fall off them and break my ankle then we'd all end up spending the night in A&E
It sounds to me as if we're all cast from the same mould. What a pity we didn't all meet years ago, when we were at our most outrageous - what a riot that would have been!
