Or chocolate cake!Maybe you have a piece of asparagus lodged in there?![]()
Tee tee! My mother has a similar lardy cat in France and I call him "Doorstop"! I myself have been slim all my life!
Are you a cat?![]()
I'm not at all surprised you're frustrated - you seem to be doing everything right, but all I can say is it's early days and I'm sure if you keep it up you will get there! Good luck with the DN today. Hugs xIts 2.30am and I'm 31.6. I want to give in. Really. (Yes, I washed hands first and did meter control tests to check)
Yesterdays food was scrambled egg for breakfast, quiche thingy without ANY of the pastry bit for lunch no veg, One biscuit for tea and grilled pork chops with green beans and cauiliflower and lemon juice for dinner (no gravy). Oh I had a biscuit you say... 1st one in weeks.
I get my first ever contact (a phone call) with a DSN at 11am. (I have a thread running about my high (101 or 10% HBA1c in another thread.)
I wish everybody happy numbers.
(I'll update my DSN progress in the other thead. Please reply in my other thread - you lovely people don't need me to ruin good readings but sometimes frustration kicks in.)
I'd love to get numbers that low! I feel best of all when I can get into the 4s but it doesn't happen very often for me, unfortunately. I don't think you need to fear 4s though, @SWUSA (72-88mg/dl), as - as far as I'm aware - that's not generally in the hypo range (although I know we're all different).Do you feel bad when you wake up with numbers this low? I mean physically. I would be reaching for the candy and would probably over correct. I can see that most of you are trying for lower goals than mine but I just really hate and fear lows.
Chemo sucks hard. I remember it well. Maybe the change in insulin is a good thing8.4 but they just changed my insulin last Thursday as I was on mixed and about to start Chemo and eating may not be good.
Does hypo awareness mean that I feel them more because I am not used to them? Or that I fear them because I have not had one in quite a while? No, I feel fine at this level, if your levels are higher then your hypo awareness is higher.
Have you tried sugarfree yogurt? I have it sometimes when I go with family for ice cream.7.1 this am. I had a small spoonful of ice cream with my no sugar jelly last night, I think it might be a once a month treat.![]()
Hypo awareness is when you can tell your blood glucose level is too low and you may have the shakes the sweats, feel a bit strange, this in an ideal world should occur at just below 4, but if you're levels are higher you may experience the warnings at a higher level, alternatively if your control is kept a bit on the low side you will experience the symptoms at a lower level which can lead to hypo unawareness.Does hypo awareness mean that I feel them more because I am not used to them? Or that I fear them because I have not had one in quite a while?
