Type 2 Life

As well as the urinary tract infection, which I'm taking antibiotic medication for, my gum disease has flared up again and my good friend says my mouth looks very inflamed. My Carer bought some Bonjela Pain Relieving Gel out of my money from my Corporate Appointee. It is beginning to cause me inherent pain and discomfort when I chew my food.good afternoon my friends 2.jpg

Bless you johnny! If gel doesn't work. I used to use Corsodyl mouthwash very successfully. I hope it gets controlled quickly.

I recieved some good news today. I've been smiling, for a change. It made me realise just how unhappy I've been lately. Mr ickihun getting car back on the road as I can hardly walk. Life was miserable. Painful and miserable. Since stopping naproxen I've no change in my pain relief. Maybe it isn't inflammation or its going to be a few weeks for naproxen to come out of my system. I'm worried incase more painful, if it can be. If breathing doesn't improve but increased pain I will call gp to restart them again. If breathing problem improves then I'll be a lot less worried about my heart scans which I haven't a date for yet.
I apologise if too much info but I'm just shocked how my health has deteriorated so quickly when I'm never ill. I'm more confident now that I can ride this. I became very low.

I completely understand how you feel. It's the same with Ron one minute he has no pain next the pain is so bad it's brought on seizures . Then his health goes completely down hill. Every step he takes is so painful I've even had him crying . At lease with the car back on the road you should get some relief. Sending you big hugs and a shoulder if you need one. Xxx

You are indeed a good friend and brilliant listener. Ron is so lucky! I'll never understand how things can be ok one minute then wham! the pain just affects everything you do. My confidence has been knocked as I'm now frearful of wind. Yes, windy days. I never gave them a thought! The icy mornings are scary too. Poor M is having to do so much more. I hope you have plenty of respite?

I now take my time in doing things. Like today I've blitzes the bathroom normally 15 minute job probably took me double that today. If only there were cleaning fairies. Ron's had a call from OT people today, just to ask him if he's had any more falls and if he can get gp appointment he's to ask to be sent to the fall clinic . Ron also asked about the toilet raiser he was promised they said to him they would look I to it . So in other words don't hold your breath for one . So tomorrow I'm going out to get him one . Fed up of all this waiting around . I sent his mum a video of Ron trying to put his socks on. Talk about a struggle.

Do you think the breathlessness could be related to the Naproxen, Vicky? It is one of the side effects....

It will do M good to have to do more and he'll probably feel more useful and appreciated as a result.
Yes, windy days, icy pavements, slippery wet leaves, jostling crowds, uneven surfaces, loose stones - I seem to be scared of heaps of things now that I never gave a thought to when I was steady on my feet and pain-free, too. Take care, Vicky x

Just want to say how kind of you @13lizanne and @debrasue for the prayers. And Thanks to everyone for the Hugs too :)
Sending out Special Big Hugs to @ickihun - Vicky and to @eldergarth - Ron and to anyone else who is in need of a Hug :).
Saw my GP yesterday afternoon and he has 'doubled' pain relief of the Morphine and every 2 hours now (not 4 hourly) and prescribed Diazepam before bed, which I took 1 last night and I have slept soundly for 5 hours, woke up at 6am in pain and needing a wee. GP says he expected my Blood Sugars to go up and I don't need to test if I don't want too. (But, I will continue to keep on eye on them). Seeing GP on Wednesday morning to assess my Pain. Have a good day Everyone :). William x

Hey....hello you lot. I'm pleased to see we have a lovely new home. This morning my blood glucose was a healthy 4.8 fasting. I'm ok with that number. Had my eye screening this morning too. How long does it take for these darn drops to completely wear off? I've got my sunglasses on right now, which admittedly makes me feel like a rock star. Wearing them indoors as I'm lying down, TV on, iPad & nibbly things to hand (salted popcorn is my treat today.) One is allowed to self indulge when one is a tad delicate.

Love that picture and the text sister Alisonjane10. Lets have some more. The eye drops should clear in a few hours but can last up to 24 hours. Enjoy your treats. GBU.
