Guys, please stop the bickering.
I can't do strenuous exercise either because I get a liver dump. Gentle exercise like walking or dancing, however, improves my bg significantly. It's not ironic nor is it correct what you are saying!
He is advocating with his first few posts that there is a cure and why aren't we using it?
He has admittedly, adjusted his position, but the thread starter is enough to annoy some of the more knowledgeable posters on this forum, who have had great success including yourself in advising how to individually tailor a low carb lifestyle, which is only a part of how they became healthier.
Please read some of the RH forum, you will see what we have to do to avoid being ill!
It may enlighten you to my stance on how best to control my condition!
Weight lifting or any form of strenuous exercise would make me ill. The reason is simple, my liver would supply me with glucose from glucogenesis to offset the rapid rate my heart would race, the excess glucose would offset and trigger an insulin response, it would also be excessive and flood my bloodstream with too much insulin.
The after effects would be horrible, and a hypo in the end!
I don't need or want to go through that again!
@douglas99 does not get the gist of how my condition works and the similarities to T2! And I have helped my wife understand her condition!
But because of my experience and all the battles that I encountered on my journey, the thread should include me because I'm not Diabetic.
What is being diabetic?
It is a label.
It helps distinguish conditions of the endocrine system.
But as has been alluded so many times, everyone is different!
A one size fits all, just doesn't fit!
Because you can tolerate most complex, don't exclude those who can't!
Those who can't lift weight s, should also be excluded?
Thought this was an open forum?
How many people can reverse on this program ? Any body know
Ok, trying to catch up on this thread... so why do we have an OP who started this thread claiming they have found a cure for diabetes when they've said they're not even diabetic? A bit of a worry.... refers to themselves as a lazy bodybuilder. So does that mean the assumption is we're all lazy diabetics and that's why we're not cured? Rather presumptuous to come here in the first place if that is the case. Shame.
1500 calories - 700 from exercise = 800 calories.. I lost 5 lbs a week for 4 weeks.This is what I don't get about Diets.
Folk bandy terms about, NC is a popular one.... and they say... "I did it my way". From what I have read, not exhaustive, 1500 calories is not close to the original work... and so again we're not discussing like with like... just going off at another tangent.
Lol.. also if I'm doing alternate day fasting.. do the math.. that means one day eat 1500 the next eat 0.Maybe he's managed to bend space and time, and can fit two days into what the rest of us call one.
We must try harder.
Are you writing a book? A blog? Are you using this forum for book fodder?
1500 calories - 700 from exercise = 800 calories.. I lost 5 lbs a week for 4 weeks.
That almost a pound a day.
When from 175 to about 153
Fact finding..
Perhaps more real life insight. Different peoples results ect
OK if you're fact finding, I'm back in then - have a read of an old thread of mine. Most people assume that consuming fewer calories will result in greater weight loss. This is probably true if it's the first time anyone has tried to lose weight. For those of us who have tried to lose weight for many years this method stops working.
Unlike you, I am T2 and therefore carb intolerant, so any calories from carbs are more of a problem to me than those from fat.
