As RH ers that are non diabetic, are advised by our dieticians, doctors, specialist endocrinologists to eat small meals every three hours because of the risk of hypos.
I have been asked by mine to try out a new idea, which my endocrinologist believes will give me the right balance of nutrition and help with getting enough food from different types of foods, as he believes that I'm not eating enough variety to keep me healthy and happy!
He insists that very low carb and intermittent fasting cannot be sustained and he believes that I'm ready to try very small amounts of carbs with my small amounts of food that I'm going to eat!
I've no idea how this will play out, but I've got a plan to eat as advised to eat every hour on the hour from 9am to 9pm, then fast for twelve hours overnight!
So at the weekend, I intend to line up my meals as such,
9a.m. Greek yogurt and a few berries.
10a.m. gammon and egg.
11 a.m. small Apple
12noon small bowl of veg soup (homemade) with a slice of Bergen bread.
1pm fresh ham salad
2pm Greek yogurt, berries
3pm. Ham, tomato.
4pm. Fish, haddock
5pm. Small tangerine
6pm. Small bowl of chicken curry (homemade)
7pm. Another bit of salad.
8pm chicken leg roasted.
9pm, finally! Greek yogurt chocolate 85%.
Depending on how I progress through the day, this may alter! Hopefully this will not be too much and testing throughout the day along with my active life, it should be interesting! I will be testing pre meal every meal to give me an idea of what is happening! Wether I go out of ketosis or not!
I will of course give a verdict and report how I do!
I am a bit nervous being a guinea pig!
