Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

8.6 @ 3.30am
9.7 @ 7.30am

I had 30g brie, 3 Brazil nuts and a dsp pine nuts at 10.30pm before bed, but still had liver dump
On testing at 3.30am you would be better off eating rather than allowing bg to increase, maybe? Then next test would show lower if no carb or low carb food at 3.30am. I've eaten a stir-fry for breakfast which has blocked my liver nicely!

5.3 after the previous nights 1 lidl ribeye steak (cut in half to make a scooby snack) on 1 lidl protein roll with onions fried in coconut oil. this is my current goto fast food in 5 mins.

Hope it went well for you. If you need support, look no further than this bunch of clever peeps!!!:)
Thanks. The dietician was a lovely person and agreed with low carb. Said I was doing everything right by testing before and after meals and she doesn't agree that all dieabetics are not given a meter and strips. Have lost a stone since the end of January and feel so much better. Just need my fasting readings to come down slightly and I'll be happy.

8.8 with no evening insulin and no metformin. No decent exercise routine either. Too tired to exercise. Walking intermittently is the best I can manage for now. Still congested, seeing gp today.
So sorry you're struggling honey. Hope he GP was useful.
