Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

6.2 when I first got up. Still trying to understand. Yesterday before evening meal 5.3 one and a half hours after 6.5, a short gentle walk (about 20 mins) and 2 hours after meal 4.2. Having got dressed this morning I retested 5.6 only having drunk water. I am coming to the conclusion that although I don't like being so high fasting it is just one of those things.

So it looks like intermittent fasting helps lower blood sugar. I have also lost over 1.2Kg since Friday and feeling quite energised this morning and not at all hungry after yesterday eating a Thai Red Curry with vegetables and Tofu along with cauliflower rice.

6.2 fbg is good. In fact I sleep better on a 6 fbg no. 4s are too close to hypos which have to get me eating with meds which my meds are supposed to be 30mins before food, at least.
Only advantage to lower than 6 is when not eating or bgs not low a lower fbg gives more of a starting place for variations.
I'm often busy on a morning or too ill to dash around.
Like you I just deal with what I'm given.

Agree I was 5.3 before evening meal, 9.4 : 2hours after evening meal only carb was an hot cross bun. 6.1 this morning.???
