Hi Everyone,

I am sure you have all noticed that we have more than one Fasting Blood Glucose thread running simultaneously. And I bet you have wondered why. :) Well, at various times, the different threads have been started with different purposes (usually the amount of socialising, pictures, discussions, etc. that come alongside the fasting readings).

Normally things flow quite well, with people posting where they feel, and chatting where they feel.

However, we have recently seen an upturn in posts being reported for being ‘off topic’ - because new posters are unaware of the original thread expectations, and just jump into posting, then get chatting, unaware of the previous conventions on that particular thread. Perfectly understandable, and we (the moderation team) would like to avoid future tension caused by posts being reported.

As a result, I have changed some of the thread titles to include the amount of chat usually enjoyed on the thread. Hopefully this will allow everyone to identify their own preferred thread, and then chat comfortably.

Here is a list of available threads:

This thread was created for those who just want to state their fasting reading without the distraction of chat.

As requested in another thread.... state your fasting numbers here.

This thread was started because the OP (original poster on the thread) wanted people to feel free to insert a little chat alongside their fasting readings.

Hello mates,
At a couple of the other forums I've frequented there was a thread like this one where we all sorta checked in each day, with our first cup of coffee or tea, and reported our fasting or waking blood glucose level and some short comment about whether we're ok with it or if not - why not?...

Then, if you just want chat, rather than having to enter your fasting readings, you can find those threads here:
http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/category/general-chat.5/
including this thread, which is about everything and anything
http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/type-2-life.81469/page-620

I hope that this helps everyone to choose a thread where you can feel most at home amongst people who enjoy the same level of interaction as yourself.

I have been on Metformin one year today, hba1c is down to 5.4%, bgls averages are down as per the pix from last night, I have lost around 10 Kgs in weight.

I am happy, my GP is happy.

Thanks for the help. I must have accidentally added my post to wrong thread! Sorry for my mistake!

Bonjour, bonjour, vous avez dormi toute la nuit. Bonjour, bonjour à vous et vous et vous et vous. This morning the diabetic spider in the corner of my bathroom wove a diabetic web and the number in the middle was a flat 3.0mmols. My meter agreed. I'm going dog walking and then to work. Luvverley
