Hi everyone I am a T1 diabetic lady who has survived almost 50 years now, was diagnosed at Kings when I was 5. Where I am still attending. Their care has been amazing, have had 3 lovely daughters and so doing my best. My hba1c was 7.2 a few weeks ago. My hypo awareness isn't as good now so am using a Dexcom CGM which I find amazing as it alerts me through my phone what my glucose levels are doing, so get an alarm if they go too high or too low. Life changing! Anxious atm as my yearly routine blood test has shown my kidneys are not working very well, at stage 4 apparently! Have had all the tests done just waiting until November to see the kidney doctors. I have no symptoms apart from anaemia, blood pressure is low, no breathlessness or swollen ankles. Anyone have any advice or similar experience?
