What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hi @Goacher55 cannot help with information on prescription codeine,but their has been many incidents regarding dogs picking up on owners illness and dogs have been known to pickup on serious problems in humans like cancer by sniffing in the area where the problem is. Your dog may have picked up on your low BG It's surprising how they respond to changes in there owners conditions. Take notice how he or she responds when your not well or low BG levels from now on. My dog keeps picking up my bacon, sausages and sirloin steaks. When I catch up with her she is gonna get a damned good thrashing

@Freema Perhaps it's time for you to speak with your diabetic nurse or doctor because at this time you are not coping with your diabetes,I have read on here people losing all concerns for their health and throw caution to the wind. I believe they call it a diabetic burn out.
Please seek help this is not like you, it's someone to talk with about what's happening to you and some support which I know all of us on here can help with. But I think you need a more one to one personal support. Please keep in touch and let us know how your getting on,I'm really concerned about you at the moment. Kathleen
 
Good morning everyone
BG 5.6 today which is wonderful has it shows something is working better than it used to following weight loss and better control of BG levels. Except for an occasional blip! K

Concerned about Freema please keep an eye on her everyone. K

My pharmacist told me about this. And said to make sure the gp knew. I have seen 2 gps, and neither of them knew. When I told them, they didn't care. In fact, one of them said when I told her that my tsh might be inaccurate that " well, we will never know then, will we". So my pharmacist is quite aware of the problem, gps just don't care.

Your so funny but what I wrote is documented dogs are very good at picking up on owners changing health and mood changes, my BG this morning was 5.6 thanks. Have a good day and watch your low BG levels 2.0 is so very low. K

Kathleen me darlin, I was not in any way poking fun at you. I do know that both dogs and cats perhaps through subtle changes in human exhaled breath or odours secreted through the skin have been know to detect health conditions very early indeed. Do not worry about my glucose levels as they are currently sitting at 4.3mmols and I am just about to go out and face some angry punters because I have a load of work which is late for delivery :watching:

@ Diabeticliberty In no way have I taken offence I think I know you a tiny bit since your funny sense of humour lightens up my day,so don't worry and I'm glad your BG levels are up to a better range but you do sail so very close to the wind so please do take care. And on the late delivery front it's getting that time of year again when everyone wants it yesterday. Best Wishes Kathleen

Hey dear it is right that I am not having the best character at the moment , But I also just had my newest HbA1c and it is 34 so in the non-diabetic area , But you are right I am not strict enough . My GP will take my metformin away from me next time I see her, I am not fond of that and she also forced me to lower my levothyroxin which is maybe also contributing at the moment to a much higher than usual level of general blood glucose ... yes I blame myself for eating too much carbs and know that ... it won’t help me if people are after me for that , I am a self motivating person and dont thrive from too much interference, but thanks for your concern

But I am stressed at the moment for many different reasons

I had a bad hypo a couple of years ago ( unconscious ) my wife was in bed and i was downstairs, our cat pawed her face until she got out of bed and brought her downstairs to me, he saved my life.

Hi Freema please don't take my concern for interfering I wouldn't do that, it was from reading your posts on higher readings and eating more carbs that caused my concern and quite right for you to put me right. I would post any concern for anyone on here if they seemed to need help but that's just me,we are a virtual community on here so no way of speaking directly person to person to anyone if this had been possible I would have asked you directly if you where ok.
