Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

3.4 at 06.56 (one touch select plus), double checked with brand new Freestyle Optium Neo, got a 61mg/dl (3.34 mmol/l). OMAD yesterday 16.00, followed by 3 mile coastal walk, I did 30 pushups at each mile (it was dark and isolated so I didn't care how I looked). At the end I did 1 set of squat to bicep curls to overhead press with 18 kg dumbbells. Feel fine. I respond really well to mixed cardio and resistance training.

Good for you. Diet and exercises seems to be working for me too only thing is that I haven't got a fully support from my Dr, nor the Diabetic nurse. Not fully certain if I will ever get off the insulin ( had reduced it down myself)
I do a research from Diabetic community and media and follow it.
Is your body and well-being so well done.

A 5.5 for my fbg this morning!
I keep forgetting to post. It was much easier when 'old' way. Instead of 2 seperate threads. I just haven't the time on a morning to do both.
Later I read other posts on new threads.
I wish I had time to do both every morning and read newees needs. Just not possible for me.

So sad to hear your lack of support. My hospital dn asked how I'm losing weight? I told her low carb low fat and reducing insulin when on good steady bgs. It works for me and she's delighted. GP dn hasnt covered insulin much In her training.

Thank you for the tips. I will request 12 weeks blood test after my new approach on low carb diet and carry on with my exercises.

I can see where I went wrong in the past: I ate carb following the Diabetic Recipes have to do aerobic and cardio exercises to bring it down the glucose levels from carb of course ( during the day). There was the carb in the evenings meals too, the result BG WAS HIGH in the mornings. This was the reason my Dr gave me the insulin in the evening only in order to bring it down the MORNING
BG.
Thanks again for the sharing your experience.
