2017/2018 Football Season

Arsenal didn't let us down they won 3-0. Happy with that :)
Well blow me down it was another Exact score for me. That's 3 this week with the Chelsea v Spurs game to come. I've put that down as a 2-2 draw.

West Brom have parted company with Alan Pardew. I'm surprised its taken them so long. The new manager will start life in the Championship and have a chance to take em back up.

Former England and Chelsea midfielder Ray Wilkins has died in hospital at the age of 61.

Wilkins, who also played for Manchester United, AC Milan, Rangers and QPR, was being treated at St George's Hospital in London following a cardiac arrest.

A Chelsea statement said the club are "devastated to learn of the passing of our former player, captain and assistant coach".

It added: "Rest in peace, Ray, you will be dreadfully missed."

Another footballing legend gone. RIP Ray :(

Another big day of footy ahead. We travel to the Amex to face Brighton in a game we really need to win. Need Spurs to beat Stoke and could do with Bournemouth beating Palace. :watching:
Saints take on the mighty or not so mighty Arsenal tomorrow. They'll be hoping to catch em on a bad day. We will be hoping Arsenal do us a favour sounds cruel I know Sorry @jay hay-char. Hopefully we can beat Brighton and it wont matter if Saints win :)

Hope everyone else gets a good result :)

We have drawn 1-1. Both sides were unlucky. Our goalie was unlucky the ball bounced off him on to the post and in to the net. Then Brighton slipped up and we got the equaliser. Then Brighton had a man sent off. We couldn't capitalise on that so it ended 1-1. Could prove a valuable point could that. Palace drew and Stoke got beaten by Spurs. All eyes are on the Arsenal v Saints game tomorrow. Next week we play host to Watford.

Draw for Carlisle. Better than losing I suppose :)
Well done Tranmere a nice 0-2 win :)

A much needed result to ensure our play off place.
The weather was dreadful again this morning, could have easily been rained off!
Pity our derby opposition today have been relegated.
Home to Gateshead Tuesday!
Not a good weekend for everyone else.

Saints were very unlucky there. It keeps that 4 point gap between us and them but they have 1 game in hand so anything can happen. Its gunna be pretty tight that's all I can say.

City were denied the celebrations yesterday after Utd beat em. I think its a foregone conclusion that City will be celebrating just remains to be seen when. Fun and games in the Premier league eh :D

Well done Tranmere a good win :)

Man City got beaten again in the champions league. Agg 1-5 bet they were real peed off :D:D

Yep a really necessary good win to keep us on track!
However, we were bloody awful first half.
First time in just over twenty years that a Rovers player scored four goals.

Aldershot Saturday, another result please?

Hope we all have a great weekend footie!

I apologise for not posting as much as usual but with all the games, work and travel, (Dover Tuesday) not much time for thread!

Hope to find all of you are in generate for the end of the season!

Best wishes.

I'm sure you'll be there playing off and hopefully you will re join the football league and start giving Mr Cumberland some tips on how to play and win :D As for us well we are dangling on a thin rope over the relegation cliff along with the Saints. Its us or Saints that will fall to our demise  I'm getting giddy now yikes don't look down :D

It's very tight down there, it all depends on match ups like the Monday night game.
Any points at this time are life lines to survival. Hopefully I'll be making a return visit to Burnden Park next season. But we will most certainly have to win at wemberley, if we get there!
Keep the faith

Off we go with another footy day. We are home to Watford and could do with a point or 3. Not sure as we'll get any but we certainly need to be throwing everything we got at em. Saints have a tough one with Chelsea a win for the Saints would lift them out depending on what Palace do with Brighton. Stoke play Wet Spam on Monday night.
Good luck everyone hope your teams don't let you down :)
