2017/2018 Football Season

We won 1-0!
That's it!

Onwards to Halifax Saturday.

Well done accy Stan!
A remarkable achievement!

Nil-nil. Just got back to the hotel bar in time to see Mark Hughes applauding rather half heartedly, at which point I knew it was bad, or at least indifferent, news. We're all doomed I tell ye; doomed! :(

You may well have been doomed had you not got that point. You got a better run in than we have. You got Bournemouth, Everton, Swansea and Man city. We got Everton, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal. You only need 6 points overtake us (your GD is better than ours). The only one that we are likely to get anything from is Everton. Its far from over yet mate.
You got the cup on Sunday hope you beat the Chelsea scum and make it to Wemberlee.

Southampton have to "take more risks" and "just go for it" says manager Mark Hughes, after the Saints were held to a goalless draw against Leicester at the King Power.

Sound advice which sadly we never adhered to otherwise we'd have been safe by now and not looking over our shoulders like we are now.

Traditionally, Saints have been survival specialisrs and have managed to avoid relegation by the skin of their teeth on a number of occasions. Whether we will do it this time remains to be seen  Good luck to the Terriers, as well. :)

Thanks we sure do need it. Hoping Palace lose this afternoon and the Swans tomorrow. And Stoke to lose as well.

The Baggies have drawn with Liverpool but alas their fate will be sealed by teatime tomorrow if Palace win or draw this aft and the Swans win or draw tomorrow as it stands they need a flipping miracle and I reckon they can plan for a season in the Championship. Wolves are replacing them so we'll still have a Brummy trip next season assuming we stay up.

Well what a day it was yesterday! Bought tickets for Atletico Madrid game, Wenger announced he is leaving and I went to a wedding. And the sun shone. Perfect! I am relieved that Wenger is leaving, now we can get back to remembering all the happy times, and there were very many of them. Robbie from Arsenal fans TV spoke on BBC news this morning and I agree with what he said. The fans had got past being angry and had become apathetic, knowing they can't change anything.

Thanks for all the wonderful years Arsene.
