2017/2018 Football Season

We lost our last league match this dinner time, I believe that because of next week play off game, the lads were trying to go through the motions and we didn't perform to the standard that got us to finish second in the league.
We will have to play much better and we have no midweek game. As with the new play off system.
Win next week semi final against either Aldershot (again) or Boreham Wood, and will be on our way to wemberley again!

Some good results, some not so good!

As always, this time of the season is always interesting!

Come back to League 2

Come back to League 2
Really nothing would please me as much!

I do believe that the players and staff have got the sense of gaining promotion.
I'm certain that they will be ready for the fight! (Fingers crossed!)

Sorry about that, mate. Still a mountain for us to climb but I guess we have scaled the foothills. Still all to play for - and for the Terriers as well. Personally I'd rather see the Swans go down......

After seeing our dismal performance on MOTD last night I was angry we played absolute rubbish. Everton's 2nd goal was a gift our defence was asleep I think. If we stay up it will be nothing short of a miracle cos I cannot see us getting anything from City, Chelski and Arsenal. The Saints have a better run in you only need to win 1 game and that's you in front of us on GD. You and the Swans play on Saturday we play Sunday so by 5pm we could be in the relegation zone and we wont get out. I have been getting used to the idea that we may be back to Yorkshire derby games next season. All will be revealed soon I guess.

Chelski have beaten Swansea 1-0, though by all accounts it was a pretty dismal game. This means that West Brom are still not relegated, though they're hanging by a thread, and the Swans are a point above us. Depending on how we do against Everton, our fixture with them could be a real nail-biter

Knowing Everton they'll go lose next week. You are throwing everything at your games so are Stoke and the Swans where as we are just playing slack. Hold on tight

@johnboy412
Your last 3 matches crikey that’s a tough run in

It is indeed. West Ham have just got battered 4-1 with Man City so what's betting we get the same battering. Both of us are on same points(Us and Wet Spam) they have scored more goals than us. Its a 5 horse race so to speak for the 2 relegation spots to be filled.. I think we can count West Brom as going down.

City have bagged over 100 goals now this season and look set to amass 102 points if they win all their last 3 games. That's good going.

Had a weird dream last night. I dreamt that West Brom, West Ham and Stoke got relegated. Now with any luck that might be one dream that comes true and wouldn't that be quite something :D

@Lamont D How come this game is going to extra time is it not a play off game ?

We play Ebbsfleet on Saturday to decide who goes to wemberley for play off final.

Only one game to decide outcome.

Macclesfield went up automatically.

2nd & 3rd get byes to one off semi final. Rovers/Sutton.

4th play 7th. Aldershot v Ebbsfleet
5th play 6th. Boreham Wood v Fylde.

New better play off system.
Advantage to higher place teams.

Hope that helps mate.

Still flipping confusing mate not like the Leagues where top 2 go up and 3,4,5 and 6 fight it out for 3rd promo place :D
I know one easy thing to figure out and that's at 5pm on Saturday if Saints and Swansea both win then we will be in the relegation zone without kicking a ball. We'd then have to scrap with Man City or Chelski or Arsenal for points to get us out which I cant see happening so Saturday is gunna be a nerve wracking day for both @jay hay-char and myself.

We'll have to see, but if we don't get anything out of the game with Everton - and Swansea draw a blank as well - the following Saturday's Saints vs Swansea game will be really nerve racking .

On this day in 1980, Ian Robins netted a brace against Hartlepool United to take Huddersfield Town to 101 goals in Division Four. Town won the division and scored 100 league goals or more for the only time in their history.

I remember that well. Looks like City are on target to amass 102 points should they win their last 3 games. They already have 100+ goals. Its up to us to spoil that party on Sunday and more importantly keep us up.
