Quite an impressive change - very well done! But please keep on smiling too - you looked so happy in that first photo! :)

I was on holiday so was very happy. Also i was probably 'breathing on'!

The second I didn't know was being taken!

I am happy and getting great feedback really spurs me on.

great stuff @BigIain

I have kept one pair of trousers from my "former life".

I put them on every now and again, and they fall to the floor without touching anything. A stark reminder of what has changed !!!!

I can now honestly survey my wardrobe and claim that I have nothing to wear

Read some of my other posts...

Hba1c down from 86 to 46 in 13 weeks and waiting for next blood test.

On a daily basis testing is usually between 5.3 and 6.5. Still on 1500mg of metformin a day.

Again waiting for a review to reduce further.
Weight loss/management is an important part of diabetes control, especially when you start at a point knocking on the door of morbidly obese.

How did you achieve this success..I need to be further inspired..Seriously
All I have done is religiously followed the recipes in The 8-Week Blood Sugar Diet Recipe Book by Claire Bailey.

Just the recipes, I haven't done the fasting days.

I haven't done any additional exercise.

I cut out the beer and drink Gin and Slimline Tonic.

And any snacks are raw nuts, cheese (mini baby bels) or >80% Chocolate.

This is the first time I've managed to loose weight. What worked for me was....

The change in what I eat (not a diet!) is to reduce my blood sugar to get off the metformin.

Regular testing and tracking gives immediate results (after 2 hours) of eating.

A consequence of low blood sugar through no sugar and a low carb way of eating is weight loss.

I weight every day 1st thing in the morning and track on my phone.

In my head I can't eat carbs, so don't have them. This means I'm not missing them.

Ive surprised myself how well I've done so far. Still got about 3st to go so it will get tough now!

Good luck!

Continued blessings and keep us updated. I stopped testing and its been downhill since. I've signed up to restart at the gym next week and will resume testing. My diet isn't too bad but need to regain my focus. My Health Is My Wealth and I Really Need to take better care of it
