Must be really really much more tricky to manage if wheelchair bound. My partner is disabled but mobile due mostly to being bloody minded and smack patches
Ok, I am beginning to look like an “excusenik” here. I loathe housework, always have, always will. I have a little garden, loathe gardening but like a bit of order so I do what I need to. DIY I am not bad at if limited in skills. So am currently engaged on a bit of exterior painting. I am dripping with sweat like everyone else.
A dog is a great suggestion...we have wanted one for years but we take two holidays a year and don’t ask me to give those up...and my neighbours are of cultures that dont do pets and hate dogs from a religious viewpoint. And yes they are religious when it suits them. So I wouldn’t trust them with my pets let alone keys to my gaff. I don’t trust kennels either. So I have to exercise or not achieve my targets. It’s simple. No self pity, just realistic. As a nurse who worked for nearly 30 years in community I am used to creative thinking to help others get more from their lives. I can largely apply to myself.
It’s getting a handle on the diabetes that I need. When it was not mine to own, it turns out what I was taught is not necessarily the way it is to live with it.
Thank you all for your support.
