Regular moderate exercise log

Hi all. An energetic weekend.
Yesterday clocked up 21,574 steps, mostly getting to/from and wandering around Kew Gardens plus a bit of retail therapy. Today’s exercise was a bit more purposeful. 40 lengths at the pool and nearly 10 miles of walking, about 6 miles of which was in one hit along the Waterlink Way. Feeling very ready for bed.

Strange exercise day for me this morning. Had to go see the DN and husband drove with a sprained ankle all the way. Waited in the car for me watching utube plugged in to lighter in car. When i got out the battery was flat so couldn't go anywhere. Off i walks to the newest place to ask someone to kick start the batteries as husband couldn't walk. All up about 20 min's of walking. Must do better.

Monday chest, and a light one as I'm still feeling it from yesterday, slight incline db press to 30kg x5 (starting with the 26s and working up but dropping reps) and back down again to the starting weight, flat barbell press 4 x 60kg x 8, flat flys and pull overs and a few sets of db curls to finish with.

I've got to say this Tresiba seems to work ok with exercise :)

LOL. Surprisingly shins are fine today. Felt them yesterday but in a ‘stiff and well-used’ kind of way rather than pain.

Today I clocked up 18,802 steps and went to my regular Pilates class.

@Moggely good to see you on this thread too.

Strange today. I got up to a 6'9 fasting at 9am before breakfast. Went for a 45 min walk with doggy and 2 hours later it was only 7'0. So exercise does work. Must increase it.

today I did a steady hour on the exercise bike still allot of sweat lost though then later I went to the local running club and did there interval session that was 5x 800m reps hopefully tomorrow can be a rest day

I really only began walking as a means of getting blood sugars better controlled, stuck with it because it worked on that and it's now a bonus I really enjoy long-ish distance walking as well as the effects it has on my blood sugars which are always a couple of points or more up, on average, if I've walked less regardless of insulin.

Tuesday back, 3rd day running in the gym and it felt like it was too :) wide grip pull downs to 90kg, seated cable rows to 40kg, deadlifts to 110kg, one arm rows to 38kg and shrugs to 40kg 4 sets of each, starting lighter and upping weight/cutting reps.

Think, for now, I may just have got non-work evenings with lots of walking in the day sorted...

Just one unit less than I think of fast acting with my evening meal, a gentle half an hour walk a couple of hours later and lovely pre-bed/rising numbers appear as if by magic. Of course, there's no telling when that will change, but it's good for now. Daytime long walks are definitely best with no fast-acting if I take my lunch with me and half of what I think if I get a meal out..

A decent swim for me today, 1475m breaststroke in 36.21 by the swim watch, there was another length but my goggles popped so I rolled on my back and the watch must have got confused, blood around 8 to start and a straight down arrow at 5.6 when I got out, 3 Dextrotabs and the line shot up again.

Like a tooth on a hacksaw blade :p

Hi all. Off colour yesterday so only about 5000 steps getting to and rapidly home from work. Perked up this afternoon and went for a decent walk of 12,269 steps. Very sleepy now.

Possibly your body is sending a none too coded message @Goonergal but you are certainly a very determined lady Take care.

Not hobbling but not at 100%. I Have done 40 mins on static bike and will exceed 10K steps easily. Monday was 640 steps! yesterday built up to 6.5K.

So frustrating when you can’t stick to your normal routine, isn’t it?
