Lovey part of the world. My son worked in Exeter for a while and we visited. I liked Exeter very much. @JanetMcDowell you carry on much as you always have done - radiating gorgeousness with nary thought for the likes of me:angelic:
Exeter is very nice, a good mix of old and ne. There has been quite a bit of regeneration recently in the main town/shopping area, we also suffered the very sad loss of a beautiful and historic hotel. On the downside the traffic is a bit of a headache and lots of student accommodation springing up everywhere. I like visiting for shopping but much prefer rural life, especially where I am, very secluded and quiet.

Ever tried Cambridge for traffic - especially bikes - and student accommodation? I am the of the same opinion with regard to visiting for specialist shops then in and out. We would actually have no need to see anyone for weeks on end if we chose.

5.1 yesterday morning, forgot to post.
6.1 this morning after a day of excess yesterday which included white wine and a couple of slices of a fresh pear, and ended with me eating 1/2 jar of almond butter by scooping it up with squares of dark chocolate. Not big and not clever.

6.8 this morning, just got off the phone to the diabetic nurse after my routine not dead yet check in, I've to remain as is and just test twice a day and ignore spikes just check pre meal a couple of times a day and ignore the spikes, I know I'm repeating the repetitive but it's a hot coal and I'm grabbing at it, stay strong and "believe" .

And at 6.1 not a big deal

You’re right of course, and a couple of months ago I’d have been pleased with that number. I’m just annoyed at myself for doing things that I know have a detrimental effect, when I’ve spent several months trying to do the opposite.
I’m not trying to say its a bad number, but I could have done better.

Yes, and the couple of months ago was when you were wondering why I was not pleased with my numbers from time. to time. It creeps up on you (entitlement):angelic:
