Type 2 Life

I had digital ones which kept breaking . Ended up in the bin now have normal ones . Typical now Ron can't stand on them cause of his balance so had to stop weighing him. I'm pretty sure he's put weight back on, as pushing wheelchair is getting harder . My poor shoulder ends up in alot of pain afterwards .
At bariatric check-ups it's a chair. Very accurate. No room for such luxuries but I'm wobbling everyday so mine jumps all over. It just errors in the end.
I might have to buy a decent pair this time not Lidl's cheapies.

Ron's been back to the gp ,more antibiotics for his chest . He's also been put on Sukkarto S.R. as again been told there's no liquid version of metformin. Also Ron's had his pregabalin increased to 100mgs .

@tina_marie - If you have a look on this web page and scroll waaaaaaay down, you'll eventually come to a heading "Oral Solution". I hope what is under than heading might help in some way.

The oral solutions are, by comparison comparison, a good deal more expensive, but if he can't manage the tablets there really should, in my view, ber a strong argument for it.

I think those are ones I'll have to swollow after op. Are they circular rather than oblong?
With IBS I cannot cope with any metformin at mo. Liquid or otherwise. Will try after op to restart metformin treatment.
IBS with metformin leaves me dehydrated and ill. Very very painful. I cry with stomach and loose tummy pain. :(
Pregabalin is good. I mix mine with painkillers so I can fall asleep. They make me drowsy on a morning thou.

The Sukkarto are oval and a lot smoother , Ron seems to be OK on them for now.

Also Ask a pharmacist but I think those plain metformin tablets can be changed into a liquid for a fee.
Or they can be crushed. It has to be the standard metformin tablet only, I believe. Call your regular pharmacists for clarification though as it was info from another poster. I haven't done it before.

I will do thanks . I'm just sick of being lied to . Does anyone know how long liquid metformin has been around for ?

I don't know without searching Web but out at mo so will have to go do some shopping, with help though.
If no one else helps I'll dig around later to see if I can answer that.
Has MIMS not got it listed?

I've tried looking but can't find anything other than the brand name riomet.

I have been taken off of my 2.5 mg of bendroflumethiazide because my gp noticed it's making my sodium low in my hyponatraemia condition. also i started my new urinary retention/urge incontinence tablet this morning called solifenacin plus tamsulosin, which is related to my overflow urinary incontinence. i'm now back on my metformin too now that my gastroenteritis is a bit better. on the 3rd october i'm going to be referred to the musculoskeletal clinic in brixton about my debilitating lower back pain which significantly affects my mobility.

today i've eaten 4 tomato, salt and pepper sandwiches, each one at a different time of today, not all at the same time. i've also eaten a plastic pack with 4 vegetable samosas in it. max hasn't been round and i've been worried and stressed he is going to come and demand to be let in thinking he's got every right to be here. on the 18th i'm seeing rachel and her manager janine from the croydon 24-hour-care supported housing plus my care coordinator from the lambeth treatment team.

@tina_marie - I posted earlier on today, on this thread, identifying Metformin Oral suspensions (liquid), in the NICE National Formulary, which all doctors should be using and certainly have access to.

If your husband's Doctor is unable to find it, perhaps you could give him the url I posted.

Thank you I will.

Thank you I will.
I'll pray for you to obtain some Metformin oral suspensions in the form of liquid medication so that he can swallow it easier. Poor Ron. I feel for him with his disabilities. Prayers ongoing for both of you, @tina_marie, my lovely friend.

Thank you , I also hope that it won't be long before you move to more suitable housing for yourself .

Thank you, @tina_marie and @eldergarth, my dear, kind friends.

I'm praying for that, too. Satan, the Enemy, has certainly given me some trials and is more desperate than ever now as we are nearing the Apocalypse and the second coming of Jesus. Everything works together for good for those who love the Lord.

My Bible is never far from me and I love reading and memorising verses from chapters and I believe it also protects me when I hear an unknown ring on the Intercom. Praise Jesus!

Lots of love in Jesus,

@JohnnyBaker87 , a sufferer of moderate to severe Asperger Syndrome, Adult ADHD and Mild dyscalculia xXx.

Thanks hun, Ron and me took another look earlier and he's printed some info off . So next time we go I'm going to stuff it right up the drs hooter . I hate being lied to , and especially when all I can hear is Ron choking .
Is he on muscle relaxants? Do they cause gullet muscle confusion?
I did have very bad reflux but lansoprozol resolves it's symptoms. I had to drink gallons of gaviscon in its absence. Lansoprozol is brilliant but side affect is low iron! Is Ron on lansoprozol?

He takes baclofen but sometimes it doesn't work. He's had an endoscopy but nothing found and no he doesn't take lanzoprozol.
