Ron is my husband . You will find him on here . Just look for eldergarth. M. E. stands for myalgic encephalomyelitis. Have you ever heard of chronic fatigue ?

Thanks, @tina_marie. I have heard of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I'm sorry to hear that Ron suffers from that.

@PatsyB, I feel for you. I woke up at 4:30 this morning and could not get back to sleep. I have a meeting at 9:30; hopefully I won't crash 'til after it's over.

How is a person suppose to sleep when as soon as his head hits the pillow his body goes into spasm? Have asked the gp to change his meds but he won’t.

awake at 4 am again seems to be the norm these nights or days grrr
I was waking every few hours on 800cals diet with liquids for Dapagliflozin tablet. Superb bgs though.
Now I'm eating with family but IBS has kicked off again so having to keep rehydrated.
Is one of your meds triggering your wake up. Needing wees or your sugar getting it's liver dump so it's waking you up because of bgs dramatic or influencial change?

Did specialist find out what spasms were caused by? Neurology or a side effect from a drug or low minerals e.g Iron for instance. I know low magnesium can cause heart problems.
Your GP sounds lost. They can get exhausted by our case just like any professional. Especially when they only know the basics on every medical scenario.
Some only concentrate on keeping us alive.
Like me Ron will never have it perfect as once a few meds get involved they bounce off each other.
If his spasms are progressing to lifethreatening though I'd insist on him seeing the specialist again. Things can change. He can be rereferred.
I know only too well how inconvenient it all is though. If his spasms are better in the warmer weather or in warm water then it can say alot?
My spasms are normally OK for a little while then flare up. But take along time to settle down. So feels mostly there.
My IBS is horrendous at the moment. So at GPs tomorrow as I suspect an infection, again. I've been in agony. I'm taking so many tablets I'm rattling. Swollen and uncomfortable too. It was a pleasure to lie down in bed throughout my day yesterday and this morning.
Sleep is higgledy piggledy based on pain and digestive system.

How are you @tina_marie?

Neurologist couldn’t figure out what was causing his problems . Theory was pain , arthritis, nerve damage . Like everything else here’s some pills bye . Spasms only really started after he had an mri scan. Ron said that every time the scanner stopped and started it would jolt causing him pain. As for me well sciatica is back . Now arthritis.

I've had a nap but my stomach is very very gutsy and very very swollen. Again. Humf!
I've had a run of a few weeks of not being so swollen and have worn my coloured jeans. They will go no where near today. I look like a female Buddha. Unable to bend down neither. Even with all the painkillers of China.
I have to go food/Christmas shopping. Next winter I'm buying a scooter/buggy. I have a problem shopping, every year. I never learn.

Sulfur burps are getting me down. I hope older GP sorts me out tomorrow. I'm sooo fed up. I've missed a dieticians appointment because their advice won't help when I'm like this. Veg doesn't help, it makes it worse, anything consumed does. I'm keeping hydrated, for now. The best I can hope for.

Your not alone hun. You and Ron make a right pair. He can’t swallow , has digestion trouble , constipation to. In pain from head to toe all the time. Like you all the pills in the won’t shift his ailments. If I could pick him up and shake him he’d sound like maracas. His legs get tired quick then comes the pain so he can’t walk.

Was any dye used in the MRI? I have been seeing ads on TV here about a dye used in "standard" MRIs causing bad side effects. Here's a 2017 article that I think may be about the same thing:

Woken after an hour of sleep due to tiredness. Thought I'd have a wander through some threads.

When tired I try and avoid posting but occasionally I do but can get bombarded by the righteous. Very off putting.
I celebrate their achiements but if they fall they are going to take things very badly.... I fear. I hope they never have to face that, ever.
Many don't post because of it.

Me.... I'm human and I'm only perfect occasionally. Ha ha (joking)

I'll try and ignore there smugness and continue enjoying the forum. Hopefully.
Oh just thought. I may block them then I'll be even happier in my own little bubble. Maybe.
We are all entitled to enjoy the facilities. :)

I'm feeling much more myself today. I was crying with the IBS pains and severe stomach bloating. I even cancelled a weigh-in at doctors so hoping my knacker scales gives me a window into how I'm doing this week. Cancelled dietician as it was all getting me down. Was hoping for an op date this year but now going into 3rd year of morbibly obese mainly due to inability to walk properly.
Went swimming and their cold water on my muscles triggered spasms and painful cramping in my feet and legs so I'm hugely put off going back.
I'm tempted to put a complaint in but it seems the warmer the water the more bacteria and I think my upset tummy has come from badly managed pools like my scatica.
What a disgrace!
I'm ashamed of Sunderland lately.

Ron has had another M.E. relapse he’s been in bed all day . Only thing he’s eaten is a bowl of porridge tonight . He only had that cause I was worried he might have a hypo as blood sugar was dropping .

Having the night from hell. I'm in total agony. My back and arm/shoulder. I'm fighting the use of Amitripyline as it makes me dozy for days.
My thrush has left me with burns. Using thick burns cream but need to drink water but if I do I start weeing just as I'm nodding off. It will make me irritable tomorrow and I just want to be happy. As at last I feel I'm going to get (me and partner) some decent help, imminently. :)
