Did specialist find out what spasms were caused by? Neurology or a side effect from a drug or low minerals e.g Iron for instance. I know low magnesium can cause heart problems.
Your GP sounds lost. They can get exhausted by our case just like any professional. Especially when they only know the basics on every medical scenario.
Some only concentrate on keeping us alive.
Like me Ron will never have it perfect as once a few meds get involved they bounce off each other.
If his spasms are progressing to lifethreatening though I'd insist on him seeing the specialist again. Things can change. He can be rereferred.
I know only too well how inconvenient it all is though. If his spasms are better in the warmer weather or in warm water then it can say alot?
My spasms are normally OK for a little while then flare up. But take along time to settle down. So feels mostly there.
My IBS is horrendous at the moment. So at GPs tomorrow as I suspect an infection, again. I've been in agony. I'm taking so many tablets I'm rattling. Swollen and uncomfortable too. It was a pleasure to lie down in bed throughout my day yesterday and this morning.
Sleep is higgledy piggledy based on pain and digestive system.
How are you
