Can't offer a view till you send me full schematic plans of the A-frame, the exact location of the plate etc etc!

Sorry, have been watching the iplayer box set of Silent Witness...

Back in the real world, yeah, nfc is weak, if you put a bit of tinfoil between your bank card and those swipe-and-pay things in Tesco, it would screw it up, so it's no surprise that the metal plate in the case is messing with it.

Hope you're enjoying libre - it's a revelation, like being let out of a dark cave. Give it a couple of weeks and we'll get you kitted out with a miaomiao, whether you want to or not!

Could be part of your stage act - bass player knocks your libre off, you smash his guitar. Fair's fair...

Yep, I worked with a guy who kept his bank card in a foil envelope... He was one "conspiracy" short of a tin hat.
The phone I got is a cheap orrible gold colour Galaxy A3 I picked up last year when my Windows phone went on the fritz.
The device is actually pretty good. I just keep it inside one of those industrial cases to hide the "bling." ;)
The NFC antenna is somewhere near the camara lense.

Any Bluetooth addons may have to wait a while. The tax on my van is due.

Interesting factoid on my research on finding a workaround on setting this up without dealing with Abbott direct, about 80% of the concise info on the subject (using the generic search engine term.) Googled, (with regards to tech compatable.) always brings me back to DCUK. :);)

Morning all,
I've got a drippy nose, sore throat and an HbA1c of 43
Don't know whether to laugh or go back to bed

@SueJB Well 43 is a good number it is down in the pre-diabetic area infact a couple of people at work had higher HB1Ac's than that last year,

As for the cold and sore throat, yep I would go back to bed with a hot toddy and a water bottle.

Keep and eye on your BSL as illness can have them running all over the place.

Take care. :)

Update; I'm 90% certain the NFC scanner is located where the Samsung logo is, below the camera lense on the back of the A3 device..?

Lol, I realy gotta leave this alone.. :banghead:

I reckon when they changed the HBA1C units they had the 'Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy ' in mind.

Cold and wet morning walking the dog and standing watching the daughter play football - whilst the wife has a lay in before spending all day in the hairdressers.........

......so cold in fact my meter reported it too cold when doing a blood test to drive home!

BGs have been good though. Received my new medtrum CGM yesterday but haven’t put it on yet as have physio Monday, don’t want it getting in the way.

Should have gone the gym this morning when I was higher, experimenting with xDrip Predictions which now now means I'm low 4's which is fine for them moment. Hopefully the Paddington Bear lunch will kick in a bit so will go then.

Other than that YAWN..................

Lol, after I got the blucon transmitter, which came out long before miaomiao, I started a thread about it as it wasn't widely known about at the time and I wanted to share the lurve.

A while later I was googling to find out some stuff and found an American site fudiabetes which had an article and comments about blucon, so I thought I'll have a sketch at that.

Spat my coffee when I read one of the posts saying there was a thread which provided lots of good info on setting it up, and it turned out it was a link to my thread!

I was quite chuffed, but it was a bit weird realising some dude in America had actually read it.

Unfortunately, my 15 mins of international fame didn't lead to hordes of 25 yr old blonde Californian groupies turning up at my door....

Sound's like you got a taste of "Rock & roll." :D:cool:

After a festival in Sweden 5 years ago i got back to the hotel room & chatted with my wife on FB before getting to sleep.

I awoke an hour later to see two silhouetted scandinavian girls climbing through my window.
Can i help you ladies...? "is this where the party is??" one asked,
"wrong address," i replied. "shut the window on the way out?"

I was 3 floors up on a terraced hotel & sport complex.. :wideyed:o_O

Alcohol and athleticism, gotta admire it...

I remember chatting with the now long gone GrantGam and he suggested one of the advantages of cgm is you can say to groupies, "wanna come back to my place and see my Standard Deviation?"

I tend to admire it from afar. Suspend belief, like a situation comedy.

I'm no oil painting, but I happened to get chatting to this Juliet Lewis lookalike at a German festival after I was abruptly aproached & getting an angle on how to deal with it, she'd seen our show. (Her English was bang on.)
So, she's trying to worm her way in with me to this "after show party" which was pretty much common knowledge, but I had no intention of attending.. (Just a load of musos posturing, looking cool & trying to "pull.")
I find out she did a foreign exchange in my home city of Bath... OK? Reason for at least a polite conversation.

Then this rather strapping German non English speaking guy comes up & starts getting intimate (huggy, peck on the cheek.) with this young lady & she's literally pushing this guy away.
Hmmmmmm.. I ask who he is. (In his presence.) "oh he's just my boyfriend..." She owns up on the fly.
So I ask, "what does he do for a job?" "Oh he's a paramedic, as you call him..?" The answer.

Lol, I shook the guy's hand, patted him on the shoulder (out of pity more than anything. He was a nice guy.) & said to the girl. "Then in that case, he's more useful in a crisis than some poxy musician. Have a great night the pair of you..."

I looked round & my band mates were stood near by with gaping mouths. They asked,"why did you turn her down?"
Why do you think.... ;)

I've seen a lot of wierd stuff in my time. But nothing will ever undermine the relationship I have with my wife..
Priorities, the moment I was comming down from what was just "showbiz." Some realy good German lighting & sound engineers made me look like a "tin pot God" for 45 minutes...

Up at 4am with high blood glucose levels at 14.8, couldn’t sleep so planning a run as soon as it’s light to knock some sense back into them..

Oddly enough been getting DP again recently, a rise from 3am onwards, t1 certainly knows how to keep you on your toes...

I think I'm dead but haven't gone to heaven. Heavy head, lead eyelids a cough a buffalo would be proud of and the nose continues to drip.

Paracetamols, hot drink, bed. Too tired to even read the sick day rules from the DAFNE course

Evening all, and hugs to @SueJB ❤️

Day a total write off here, up half the night with high alarms going off and feeling revolting. So have spent most of the day feeling revolting and rage bolusing to get it back into range, which I managed about half an hour ago. Ugh.

Just getting myself fuelled up, clean, shiny and ready for the horrors of a working week and a 0515 alarm (considering going to bed in my clothes tbh) :(
