A very good morning to you all, teabags. And a very good morning it is - the Levemir from the new batch seems to be working well, so far, and like you @ smc4761 I had a night in the blues. It feels wonderful! I’m just left wondering whether the old batch had had a bad experience in its childhood, whether the fridge needs changing, whether there was a germlin involved or last but by no means least whether it’s because I was wearing the wrong colour socks.
@Knikki, Alfas are the best, the ones made in Italy are the very bestest.
Reading the comparison of fire defence @kitedoc and @Tipetoo has reminded me I must get the incinerator back from older daughter and do some heap clearing. I’m attempting to get the garden into veg growing shape before the knackety knee fixing puts me relatively out of action. It’s a slow process with the knee so I’m trying to do a bit each day. In this weather it’s a very cheerful activity - lots of stops for tea, or vino as the sun descends, and robin watching.

Robin is watching you consuming tea and vino. Pedant here but I now what you mean. !!
You are a goodly neighbour to be doing the tidying up @Fairygodmother. And I hope the Levemir behaves itself from now on without the need for a telling off or reprimand for poor activity. In Australia we have a saying: "having a Claytons", where Claytons is a beverage which looks and tastes like it should contain alcohol but in fact does not. So the phrase has come to mean 'not having the real thing' or that what one is having (usually drinking) is not legit or lacks the true ingredients.
I am certain that if this Levemir hears that anymore nonsense and you will be calling it Claytons and it will buck up and deliver 'the real effect "!! Best Wishes for the knee !!

@Mel dCP dcp ooh car insurance is a pain. I changed my car a few months ago and like you they wanted £25 admin fee for changing or £50 for cancelling:arghh:

Luckily my new insurance company would cover the cost of up to £45, for the cancellation fee, so guess who I went with.

Talking of insurance just got my renewal quote through for my house insurance. I made no claims last year, nothing has changed, oooh except the price, its up 33%. Time for a Compare the Market visit

After my terrible overnight BG for last week and yesterdays ridiculous spikes, went to bed wondering what I would wake up to. Bed with a BG of 7.3, woke up several times during the night and tested, completly flat all nigh and woke up at 8.30 this morning BG 6.7

I am of course delighted BUT, why is it happening in first place. Still eating the same injecting in same general area at same times, eating same food. 38 years on I will never understand this type 1 nonesense

Hope you all have a good day fellow teabags
@smc4761, the randomness of the universe is the vague answer, we accept the good, tolerate the mediocracy and abhor the bad. Hopefully the insulin pump will provide an increase in certainty and boost the confidence. You can see that @porl69 is jumping out of his skin almost and it is only early days. He might be in orbit next week !!

Well I like @karen8967 coffee meme but really should be a bit more real and diabetic friendly, so here is one I just made :)

Morning All and Hi Di Hi

@Cumberland Feeling excited seeing those beautiful photos, will be there myself In 6 weeks time. Love Keswick and surrounding area.

Safe journey to Keswick and I hope the weather is good to you

If you like Fish and Chips there’s a lovely little chippy with seating called
‘The Kingfisher’ they offer to cook gluten free and we go there every time we visit Keswick, the chips I think are the best I’ve ever tasted

It’s the G the H and the O that count - wish they counted themselves for us!

I am now the proud owner of HideousSmallDiesel. Actually it’s not _quite_ as hateful as I thought from the photos. Seat is comfy enough, husbeast currently fitting the stereo from the Focus. Nice 3.8 when I went to collect it so had to wait a few minutes to come home, but it gave me chance to fiddle with the settings and stuff. Could be worse!

Hope you’re all having a lovely day? Considering pyjamas...

Yes, had Fish and Chips from there when we were on hols in September. We self cater for a week and always have Fish and Chips on the last night.

Some of your pupils sound like they're experts in twocking, so maybe get one of them a bottle of vodka, and a free pass on detentions, and you could be the proud owner of a top of the range BMW this time next week!

You make me feel old - I had to look up twocking.
But why a BMW? Go for an Alfa! With leather seats and multiple speakers.

I’d prefer a DB9. Go big or go home, right? But currently shopping on a certain well known internet auction site for some vinyl ravens to stick on it. Might as well goth it up a bit, eh? The temptation to spray the whole thing matt black is never far away...
