would it be a hypo or something ta

Could you clarify your timings, please. 7pm felt shaky, 4pm had boiled egg.

possible false hypo.

also T2D and i suffered one or two early on.

told its perhaps a higher carb meal then i could handle
or
my body reacting as i rowed back on the carbs.

can't say for sure which..felt wretched around that time.
body grumbling about lack of carbs seems most likely.

only had one or two real incidents, the rest just an 'off' feeling
passed after a few weeks.

welcome to the forum.

hello
daibell
im t2 diabetic
i have a code free meter
ta for info

Next time you feel like that do a blood test. You don't say whether you are on medication. If you're not then I agree with @jjraak that it's probably a false hypo, your body is not used to lower (normal) levels. (That's assuming that you've recently moved to a lower carb diet).

If you're on glucose lowering meds such as gliclazide or insulin, then it might be a real hypo which needs treatment (eg glucose), and you should talk to your diabetic team about it asap.

Sounds like a hypo. Have a glucose tablet or 1/4 of a banana or something similar and relax. That's how I deal with hypos. You need to eat something immediately that will get into your blood asap. There's no time for cooking. I normally feel totally fine after 25 minutes. This morning while on the job (not a place to test blood sugar) I realized I was going too low so I drank some cream with 1 teaspoon sugar.

This advice is for people using medication that directly affects blood sugar levels, not for those (usually T2) that are taking metformin or using diet to control their levels.
Most people have symptoms that feel like hypos, some are false, if they wait long enough, the liver will dump some glucose in their system to bring it up again.

Hi @nolgnolgnolgnolg ,

Welcome to the forum.
Could you clarify what medication you might be prescribed for your diabetes?

Thanks.
