Yes @rhubarb73 wonder if he ran think he was preparing for the marathon. They all get my unconditional respect..wow..and they run in all sorts of heavy costumes too? Report in when you can @rhubarb73."Virgin Money London Marathon"
The words that greeted me when I turned on my TV about an hour ago. "Virgin Money?" I thought. "What on earth is ... ?" and then I remembered someone somewhere mentioning a marathon, so, put 2 and 2 together and came up with a front line of runners.
Running through some pretty London neighborhoods.
It made me think of our @rhubarb73 . I haven't seen him around in ages. Anyone seen him?
I passed up an opp to get an iPhone last night. Learned that i had to order a new cell phone to match service upgrade and was tempted by the refurbished iPhone 6 but minutes for it it would cost $10 a month more than for the brand new LG android I ended up ordering. I have used LGs for years and been very happy with them.
Love twd tooSHUSH...lalalala i can't hear you..lalalala
Yep, horrible news.
2 shows i watch with madame,
Games of Thrones..the entire series week after week,,

.
Good evening, jjraak. The beginning of your post made me sooo hungry.missed yesterdays as had left meter at work 'duh'
this morning was 5.6...after a stressy day, but also a beautiful dinner.
roast chicken, asparagus and tenderstem brocoli...mmhh
today a leap ahead of meaty may, perhaps.
i had devilled beef strips, ham and had some duck crackling..(sainsbutries) to boot
( not had the duck, yet..like pork scratchings i think, but nicer ..)
but ate the beef..nice..ham was ham, 2 ryvita, lavished with butter.
but after, still peckish
so had a small greek yoghurt and a square of some 90% chocolate cut up and stirred in.
an eclectic mix, i will admit, but strangely tasty in a weird way,
suffice to say stuffed afterwards and score was 5.6 at the one hour mark..
and 5.5 at the two hour mark, not sure what that signifies,
but i was happy to see so many 5's in one day.
@dogslife terrible about your poor mum, ( you are down as carer/next of kin, right.)
i'd of been annoyed if mum had been let home early days without being told to expect her,
it's the simple things people forget, some of us can't do, that can pose danger.
once we lost mum, early hours. winter months
dad called frantic she was gone, to ill to search himself, god bless him.
so i dashed there... calls made to other family on route to see if she had popped in to theirs
.. younger family members gloriously insisted and rallied from home,
and came and helped look..(for police, said they'd keep an eye out, but not really interested until missing for a longer while )
we found her a few streets away in her flannelette nightie, 'going for the milk'...( really at 2 am, mum..perlease..)
safe and sound thank god.
but had no perception of dangers of people or traffic, sadly.
from then i put chain on inside of front door, and dad locked up every night.
hope your mums aches get better, now she's home and back in her own surroundings,
hospitals can be so confusing for many.
Good evening, jjraak. The beginning of your post made me sooo hungry. All I ate for lunch was a small egg/ cheese chopped salad ( no carbs as far as I know) and baked cod with broccoli and cauliflower for evening meal. No supper and I've just tested at 7.2. Will be interested to see what my fbs is tomorrow.
In response to your question about mum- yes I am her named carer and next of kin. I made sure they had my mobile number before we left and they told me they would ring me 'next day when the mobility assessment was done. They repeated that when I rang the next morning. It was fortunate that I rang again when I did as they had only just sent mum on her way. They apologised and there was no harm done. It must have been such a worry when your mum went missing, especially in the cold weather. I can just imagine the panic. You were fortunate to have family to help look for her. My mum becomes very confused but as yet has never wandered. She is back to her old self today thanks and has no recollection of the hospital at all. Thank you for showing an interest. Best wishes.
