What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

@trick60 going back over todays posts I seem to have missed Mrs Trick’s tumblings. I do hope she is recovering and not too sore. As I said to John earlier we all have clumsy days and thats life! Best wishes to you both.

@SaskiaKC glad you enjoyed the Derby cos I know you do like your horses. I am always intrigued by the names too. I think if you go to one of the big fixtures here it is a really good day out but not done it in decades. The only rave I cant get my head around is the Grand National, I dont like the brutality of it and I cant watch it!
My men folk have deserted me for a week, husband and eldest son gone to Spain to play golf. They are very close its a really nice thing for them to do. Youngest son and GF flying to Greece (island) early tomo. So its just me and my girls this week. So planning earlier dinners and going to do some crafting (without having to put my things away between sessions, girls allowing) plus watering the garden since there is no sign of any real rain. Dont know if you know the country is absorbed by the Champions League Final in Madrid tonight (Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspurs) so Ianpspurs will be on the edge of his seat! Thats all my news for now. Have a good rest of day. Btw I am with you re the dry cat biscuits though the girls share a small can of tuna for lunch.

Actually not on the edge of my seat atm helping supervise bath time for grandchildren. Football result is important but I know where the real happiness lies.

I will cheer for the Spurs for @ianpspurs and because of 84, Charing Cross Road. The book.

Thank you @PenguinMum for the alert. I don't follow the championships although I used to follow the Premier League when I dated the Liverpool fan. I hope you and the kitties are enjoying your girls' weekend. The KittenCat just called me over to the bed for some quiet time. She got me away from Clint Eastwood and "Rawhide"!

Hey you sound like you have mixed loyalties! As I always think the best team will win....but what do I know?

I like Leicester City. Four summers ago when I was at the beach with the Liverpool fan we heard about their new manager and the news that they weren't expected to do very well at all that season. But I had a hunch about them. I get hunches from time to time, and I had one about them.

And they won the Premier League championship that year. I still have the T-shirt I bought and wear it to our Pub Trivia matches (when I go to them). It gets me all sorts of questions, including "What is Lie-ces-ter City?" and one delighted smile of recognition from a visitor who follows US Major League soccer and knows "my" team and how to pronounce their name! :D

I found it really weird, at the time of the Liverpool fan, that back in the '60s I had never heard of Liverpool FC or Everton, despite the fact that my friends and I knew so much about the Beatles and read everything we could find (not much back then) about Liverpool. We knew where Penny Lane and Mathew Street were as well as we knew where Aintree was. But I don't remember ever once hearing any mention of any football club. And "You'll Never Walk Alone" was just a song sung at some high school graduation ceremonies.

Last night’s 6.9
This morning 5.9 @ 5:30

Happy... as last night I actually had a slightly heavier than usual dinner as i was really hungry... two rotis with some veggies... yogurt with sone fresh fruits chopped.... but looks like it was ok for the body!!!

Happy Sunday

6.2 this morning. Spent yesterday in the high 4's and low 5's so I can ignore a low 6 in the morning based on 'I have no idea why' :) Todays delights include installing two barbeques, one electric and one coal powered. I just hope 'she who must be obeyed' doesn't expect me to cook on them ;)

Still using up my allocation of 5's with a 5.3 this morning.
I managed to get my tomatoes, beans and strawberries planted. One of my 12 year old raised beds has given up the ghost, so I am going to have to empty the soil out on to another bed and then get some new wood re build it. It will be functional rather than beautiful as I am no carpenter.
I also need to fill in the holes that the dogs have dug on the lawn and then get some seed. It would be so much more helpful if they would dig constructively in the raised bed.
Take care

9.9 fbg this morning

Grey skies, but sun peeked out. Now gone back in again, but it does look bright. Already 18 C by 8 am. The trees and bushes waving their little leaves. Cat on my lap. A cuppa in my hand...

Have a good day
Take care x

And now I am watching a movie set and filmed in Liverpool in 1958, with a very young pre-Illya David McCallum. Violent Playground.

Illya Kuryakin ..... memories...either action, or the characters faced the screen, more or less, in those days so I could lipread what was going on...I was quite happy with the action or Ilya smouldering out of the screen....

You will make an amazing, fantastical raised bed!
Have fun.

Good luck with the raised beds. We made ours, 6, from sleepers cut to size by local timber yard who told me they have regular orders for them. No idea if you have such a supplier available but apparently the standard 6 ft by 3ft bed can be cut from 2 sleepers - 4 pieces of each. Strawberries? My diary tells me those we picked last week are nearly 3 weeks ahead of 2017 but 1 week behind last year

One of the amazing side effects and benefits of meditation is I find, it is the ultimate time management tool. Things just seem to get done in the most efficient manner and time. Without the need to try and control things…. That also continues and carries on in to all aspects of my daily life.

Well done Krystyna for taking the plunge and ‘doing it’….. I am proud of you!

It was amazing how much better I worked after meditating.

I managed to stay fairly calm yesterday - which was much better than I usually am when I visit the hospital.

BS all day in the 4s and 5s but this morning was 6.3. So it could have been that. I wasn't quite as calm as I felt - or that my liver was being helpful and thought I needed a little blood sugar boost this morning.

visiting Pretty Corner Woods near Sheringham with the doggies today. Never been there before. Hope it is as nice as Google says it is.

Had my eye appointment this afternoon and am now totally confused. The tests I had on Tuesday are not in my file.and were all repeated today - although they also did different photos of the back of the eye than Tuesday did. Eyesight was exactly - or very slightly better than in 2017 whereas on Tuesday the Doctor said eyesight was significantly worse. The optician explained they were a different clinic but used their equipment.

I didn't see a doctor - which I thought I was going to. I flagged up my concerns with the Optician and she said my notes would be going to the doctor. Will bring this up when I go on Monday for the injections. So why do I need the injections if my eyesight hasn't changed. Very confusing - but I was really pleased that I had no deterioration in eyesight from 2017.

I didn't stress and did some meditation which helped.
It's just oversight (excuse the pun). I am so pleased that you are finding the meditation helpful.
Have you found your breathing is slowing down?
