What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

5.1 this morning - feeling lazy relaxing in the conservatory drinking Redbush tea. Will have one more cup of coffee before taking doggies for a walk.

Very busy day at work yesterday but made sure I had proper breaks. It does make a difference as I felt a lot more relaxed and slept like a log last night.

If only....
FREEZING TIME

I wish I could freeze time in my freezer

and thaw it out when I need a bit more.

If I could, then one thing is for sure

It would very soon need a new door.

With all of that opening and closing

I know that I’d soon wear it out.

It would get lots of use that’s for certain

Of this, there cannot be a doubt.

For some times I’ve plenty to spare

and at others, I find I’ve run out

As when I look down at my watch

I find that there is just none about

It’s funny how we still keep on looking

Expecting some more to appear

So you see it would be rather handy

To have some in the freezer to spare!

Thank you to everybody here who is giving me so much support, incentive and inspiration to 'fight the good fight'

It’s bin day today; the turn of the recycling bin and the garden bin. Not a lot in them this week, two bags and a few papers for recycling and nothing in the garden bin. They could wait until their next two week cycle but I need to maximise the usage of my contributions to local taxes so out the recycling bin goes.

A better night last night and the wonder wheel of rest and recuperation issued a sprightly 5.0 at 0615.

I finished my holiday book yesterday. Only three days late but hey, medals and champagne all round. My new book was waiting patiently on the bureau, same author and this one is called Skin In The Game. I suppose that the point of the book is that in the real world it is hard to disentangle ethos on one hand from knowledge and competence on the other: “in academia there is no difference between academia and the real world; in the real world, there is”.

Meeting of the medical practice patients group this afternoon - what fun.

Have a wonderful day if you can.

Have not been on here the last few days as bloods have been awful

But this morning I awoke to a delightful 6.8

Have a good day folks

Morening, I like your monika either it's where you live or a liking for those full of bread sausages or perhaps both.
Your blood sugars vary so much wonder how high they must be for you not to post them. Take care.

It is beginning of Ramadhan holidays and i need all the rest i can. The day started with 5.8 which i was happy about. I had some check ups today..

Eyes for my reading glasses- they say there is no change.. so i just continue my current glasses.

Had my blood tests too - HbA1c is at 6.6% which I think corresponds to 48 mmol / mol in the UK system. Not ideal yet, but better than where it was sometime back. Not sure how much lower I can bring it to .

My Vitamin B12 was higher than the normal range.. doctor usually wants to ensure there is no deficiency but i am higher . i do take B12 supplements, probably a bit too many... Is high level of vitamin B12 problem? I haven’t had a detailed chat with doctor yet - probably next week. Maybe I should just reduce the dosage or maybe take it every other day. Any thoughts?
Well done on the hba1c reduction.

Brilliant and sooooo true

Morning All. 6.5 this morning although my BP was well in normal range after a week of scary readings which took me to the surgery yesterday. Didnt get very far but got a text from the Dr suggesting I monitor and write down a week’s numbers and come and see her if I want to. Well I have been banging on about taking responsibility for my own health!
@Cumberland @karen8967 hugs to each for bad numbers. Take care. X
@gennepher hope all goes well at the hospital.@Krystyna23040 glad you were fine after your injection. I think the first 24 hours is important.
Best wishes to anyone I have missed. Have a good Wednesday. Stay well, stay safe.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who celebrate national bin day. Hehehe

Today a gentle 6.2 from the meter this morning, no shenanigans this time the reading just looked around, loudly passed wind and vanished in a cloud of obnoxious smelling gas.

Today folks my day is planned, orders have been issued, filthy looks given. Yes Mrs J is on my tail.
Have a good day all, must go more orders being issued and I must appear to pay attention.
