They are more impressed with me prodding myself for blood glucose readings than my Mountain bike skills, in their words "Grandad you are well hard"![]()
Haha no greater compliment!

Very nice, one of our horses was named Prince, a Welsh Cob lovely fellow and very trustworthy. We have done very well with all of our horses except the one who was a bully, we discovered he had been treated badly and maybe we could have sorted him but we ride for pleasure and felt he needed someone who enjoyed such challenges. Mrs MC still rides, I as you can see choose Mountain Biking now.Thank you. Prince was a 15h not-bully, a loner in the pasture, and under saddle an old BTDT horse who knew just exactly how much he could get away with without having to make any real effort, such as bucking, or rearing ...

I will speak to the weathermen and see if we can send you some of our heat and sunshine -- right now we have far too much of both and should share.![]()
Oh, forgot to say all the best with your muddy run, most of all enjoy it, sounds great fun.
If you get to like it your Avatar name could become Muddy Runner.

A very hectic day today and I forgot to post my 5.0 this morning.
I liked the mattress store and had a great time chatting with the manager and another customer, one from the town where I was born, the other from Alabama, where I lived for several years and keep finding myself homesick for whenever I see something that brings it to mind. (Alabama -- State of Mind -- hmm, maybe they should put that on their license plates!) I found a great mattress in my price range ... only to learn that I had made a really terrible mistake last night on their website in not noticing that they do not take PayPal. No PayPal = no credit card = no mattress.
Oh, well, I hadn't planned to buy one until after I moved, so if I keep waking up without any bites I will just keep this old one 'til I move. I think the other morning must have been a fluke, but waking with itchy bites is terrifying.
It was great, though, to just get out for a while, converse with two nice Uber drivers and the two people in the store. Then at the pharmacy I picked up a new anti-anxiety med which we hope won't irritate my bladder into thinking I have another UTI. This one is Buspirone, so we shall see ...
Love 10cc... I'm not in love..OMG. That takes me right back to those early dating days.
( Meant to say earlier but life just got in the way.)
Cheers for the memory nudge, @SaskiaKC
Yes please, we are singing and performing all day tomorrow outdoors in out Georgian Costumes at over 1000 feet above sea level, high on a ridge where the wind hits heavy from the Cheshire plains. I shall be holding on to my Tricorn Hat![]()
Me too. I’ve seen them half a dozen times, including the first time they ever played ‘I’m not in love’ (before it was released) I still remember it vividly it made my scalp tingle.
Wow, the words must have been in my subconscious, you ar right we play a song by The Band of Heathens called Maple Tears and the second line uses almost the same imagery.....The setting sounds like a lovely song itself. Here's hoping for just enough breeze and just the right amount of sun!
Great fbg and amazing thing to do for your nan.4.8 this morning, but feeling better today. Yesterday evening I got a phone call from my paternal grandparents, they are down my way and would I like to meat for lunch? Of course I said yes and we quickly arranged a pub local to me for the meet-up. So at 9pm last night I hurriedly made a quick bracelet to give my Nan.

P.S. I was thinking about creating a new general thread for posting my beading updates rather than derail this thread, what do you think?
