That sounds a very good way to live your life.@Krystyna23040 - Warning by Jenny Joseph is one of my mum’s favourite poems, probably the foundation of how she lives her life - it seems to have rubbed off on me also.
Oh how very sad for you but so brave to let him go. He will have had a lovely life and will always be part of yours. They put their trust in us to carefor them and that includes doing the best for them right to the end. He knew he was loved. Sendings lots of hugs. So sorry.Morning... a terrible day yesterday... towards the early evening I saw Churchill was in awful pain...rushed him to the vets had to make the awful decision to have him put to sleep...feeling shell shocked & sad
Made me smile5.8 today - an happy with that. Had a wonderful day yesterday. Had hairdressers in the afternoon and spent the whole afternoon doing a little bit of shopping, having a wonderful low carb meal in Bella Italia (the most tender and tasty grilled chicken breast and green salad), and relaxing in various places reading Saturdays 'i' newspaper, doing Suduko and just generally relaxing.
So different from what I usually do - trying to fit in clients so I don't let them down and they miss a week, then a mad rush to the hairdressers - no time to eat than rush back to do evening classes. It's total madness - and I have been doing it this way for 20 years. So now a complete change - I am going to be kinder to myself.
I listened to Something Understood on Radio 4 this weekend and for the first time ever I actually understood it and it really made me think about my life at the moment.
I particularly liked the poem that was quoted - Warning by Jenny Joseph. https://www.scottishpoetrylibrary.org.uk/poem/warning/. It starts off - "when I am an old lady I will wear purple.....'.
More of a pantomime than a film!Hope you got on ok? Agree but he wont go quickly think he will throw a few people under the bus first..what sort of country have we become! It it was a movie it would be farfetched.
A winner in more ways than can be fathomed. Have a great day.Good (if wet) morning @trick60 and indeed all forum members near and far. Appropriately for an Ember day, today is officially a look beyond the present difficulties and trust day. 4.9 at around 4.20 a.m. - (I do have trust issues there.) Early waking has returned, weight seems to be adversely affected by new (non diabetic) meds, straying far from basic salads not good for joints and 2 "little" challenges (don't even mention Spurs please). Dry, warm, plenty of food and drink, loving wife and family, my own little pharmacy and granddaughter coming to visit. Life isn't some absurd equation or mad series of random events. I'm just slow on the uptake at counting my blessings - which include you guys. Enjoy today.
Sorry for your loss but your act of kindness was the main thing. Stay well.Morning... a terrible day yesterday... towards the early evening I saw Churchill was in awful pain...rushed him to the vets had to make the awful decision to have him put to sleep...feeling shell shocked & sad
Oh my word! That is such sad news. So sudden. So hard for you to comprehend! What on earth happened! Massive hugs going your way.Morning... a terrible day yesterday... towards the early evening I saw Churchill was in awful pain...rushed him to the vets had to make the awful decision to have him put to sleep...feeling shell shocked & sad
