Last nights walk a deer was barking in the not too far distance, and I was expecting him to race off towards the sound, but it was a still night and perhaps it was just far enough away for him not to bother.......it wouldn't have been worth it (more like he wouldn't have had a chance in catching it - like always!)

I wish mine was like that! To be fair, she's still a puppy really, and it took two or three years with our last two before they were sound with game around. Once they got it, they were very reliable, but it takes a lot of hard work.

Morning all, much better start to the day today, still not got my balance normal but better than yesterday, and woke on 3.8; jelly baby head and no pre-bolus for breakfast seems to have sorted it. Good walk with the dog who behaved extremely well nearly all the time we were out. My biggest problem is that's she's easily distracted (like owner like dog!) and if she gets a scent of deer or pheasant (and we have both round here) she's unstoppable - at the moment anyway.

@LooperCat hope you're feeling better, @porl69 hope the bloods stabilise and @chris85 type 1 well done overnight.

your dog is like me i see a pheasant i'm like where's me shotgun if i see a deer i'm like i need me a .308 rifle but if i see a rabbit i'm like num num dinner time p.s. i understand if you don't like it but i'm a hunter

Bloods are being an a**e this morning. 13.7 atm with 6.6u IOB, so will probably crash soon grrrrr!

@chris85 type 1 injecting thru clothing is not the best idea in the world

why not been doing it 16 years with no problems but please do tell i'm here for support advice and xp

i need to move back to yorkshire i'm from ripon north yorkshire born and bred there. now i live in darlington but the diabetic care here is better than ripon. and BG is at 6.6 mmo/l

Little life savers i bought 120 they are nice i have orange blueberry and raspberry flavour and the best thing is when they arrived i was hypo so the delivery is the best i have ever had

Hello friends, 11.0, not shabby tbh from a kebab last night. Site change today and I didn’t see my previous site and I stuck the new stick about an inch from it, now I’m worried about lipo wotsits

lipo???trophy don't worry it only happens if you never change spot i was told to do my injections a finger width apart so if i was you i would use one side for how ever long they stay there then use your other side for the next one x

Some good news. I now have a permanent position as a School Escort, I start on Monday and it's the route I covered up until January 7th, so tomorrow will be my last day as a casual, but I do have a run in the afternoon As a casual, they are obliged to honour any appointments that may coincide with the school run, so I need to email these or phone these through to the school transport team very soon.

@MeiChanski lipohypertrophy happens when you have been doing your jabs in the same place over and over again. I am sure 1 site change close to the previous one will be fine

@chris85 type 1 I have always been told not to inject thru clothing.....you never know what is on the ouitside of your clothes being taken into your body through the needle

yeah but iv'e been a landscaper and mechanic injecting through muddy or oily trousers or overalls and i barely ever get ill apart from the beginning of this year and as i said i'm a bit shy dropping my draws just to inject is a no go. but then again after all that happened when i was in hospital i'm not as shy as i used to be

plus muscle mass is getting more and more for some reason us Skaife's grow muscle really fast just need to find a diet that suits my diabetes and stick to it as i said i am determined to get healthy my dsn saw me in hospital i had a massive scruffy beard now its gone so i want my belly to go as well
