What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning people. 5.2 at too early am. Not where I want and weight ignoring textbook rules for cals in/out or carbs - curious that:angelic: Deal with those in the future. This week is for staying functional, tip visits, bonfires, cleaning, relocating and flopping into bed Friday night. Julie's stiff neck and shoulder since Saturday means stopping her doing more damage is also baked in to this fun. Life would be so much simpler with ye olde comforte foode and no testing. So why set a 2 hour timer to measure impact of almond milk tea? - thousands of different results from that already (James Bay wrote a song about that?) Good quality fish and chips with plenty of tommy k does seem very tempting amid the chaos Friday evening. Hopefully, final tip runs and bonfire today before the guys wrap, pack and move tomorrow and Friday. Tonight = COYS. You all have good days however you so define the term.

Morning...not a bad sleep still tempted to roll over and stay in bed...freezing here this morning so heating on...beasts fed & watered a quick nap for them before the mornings exercise begins...coffee with double cream is a life saver...more earrings missing this morning...asked where they were innocent poses from both?...woke to a 5.8

no we never took it...honest

8,15am FBG 6.1

It's been in the sixes for a while, with only an occasional drop back into fives.
I an scared this means I am getting worse.
Maybe the diabetic nurse was right when she said "For some people Diabetes is inevitable "
After yesterday's results I don't know if I should eat? Feeling very lost and confused right now.

You will be fine. Plenty of stress with crumbling stairs, maggots, #freezergate which are bound to impact. Many members whose fbg's are usually exemplary experience unusually higher numbers with far less challenging events. Anyhow, 6.1 is not exactly outrageous.

Today's painting inspired by walking dog, sunset and footpath. Moet, walked to vets poor old soul. We noticed he was bumping into things then today he rushed into the house from out of the garden but the door was closed and he crashed into it. Outcome at Vets is he thinks he's gone blind, so we have a 13 year old blind Labrador, Vet thinks he will manage with smell and hearing, further tests being done because vet thinks he's also Diabetic. Poor Mrs MC now's got two of us in the house to cope with.

Here is the painting, watercolour A5 25 minutes, unfinished....

I know I have already made a comment on this @Muddy Cyclist but I had to look at it again before I posted this morning. This is absolutely stunning. I disagree that it is unfinished. I would love to be able to paint like this. You have my admiration for this sketch...

I don't agree with the nurse SlimLizzy...there are occasions where what we eat seems irrelevant the numbers will go up for no apparent reason...it's happened to me & others here...if we've eaten badly & know why we can deal with it...if we have no idea why it's more difficult to cope with...could be any number of reasons the weather stress activity (or the lack of it) at times like this we have to be patient...it's the long term goal we need to address overall your levels are great

Good morning everyone from the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of pain relief followed by a spontaneous and also quite unrehearsed 3am dance session produced a rhythmic 4.0 on the metronome of nonsense.

Not a lot going on today in this minute part of the multiverse: TV licence is going up - bad, but non-payment may soon be de-criminalised. PG tips are on the decline - I don’t care. Feline coronavirus causes a bit of a panic. In politics there are rumours that Donald Trump can actually talk and we learn that MP’s do not have an official dress code - yippee!, the clown outfits can stay. Meanwhile, down in the slops of The Sun and The Daily Mail we find that David Cammeron’s bodyguard left a gun and Cammeron’s passport in the loo of an aeroplane. The big disappointment is that waste of space Cameron is entitled to protection for life.

Anyway, serves me right for glancing at the supposed news instead of doing something educational. Must surely be koffy time so have as wonderful a day as you decide to make it.

What a good idea. Actually it feels like I am in Chocolate heaven - thank goodness chocolate has a long best before date.
I only look at best before dates in the shop relying upon look, smell and taste once it’s at home - chocolate I think lasts forever and can withstand nuclear blasts - or is that just the exotic cockroach flavoured variety?

Morning All. I’m with @trick60 and @SlimLizzy with 6.1. Woke late very stressed from a bad nightmare. I am pinning that score on that so try to take heart @SlimLizzy. As Ian says you have had a run of stress. @HarryBeau those butter woudnt melt looks are very engaging. You can tell they are runnng the roost! @ianpspurs hugs for Julie’s shoulder and the bad timing and to you for the workload and stress. I recommend fish and chips on moving in day or whatever else floats your boat. More cushion primping today for me!
Have a good Wednesday everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

Hug for pain relief. Flaw in the argument over protection for Cameron is this smirking malign thing will also have the same. Which one will prove to have been worse? (Rhetorical question) best summary of where we are at I have seen - him and his "cabinet whose monument will forever be a special kind of smirk, perfected back in the days of the old Soviet Union. I’m lying, you know I’m lying and I know that you know and I don’t give a ****"
